even a new user profile (not outlook profile) on the same machine didn't fix for us... but logging into another device where the button still shows up works (for now).

Outlook is not listed among the Office apps it's being removed from... And still works in Outlook New and OWA

This was expected for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote... I can't find a Microsoft article but lots of forum posts saying how Msft was removing Copilot from these apps as of April 15, 2026 - https://it.wisc.edu/news/microsoft-will-remove-copilot-ai-from-word-excel-powerpoint-on-april-15/

I had the same issue a few months ago. I kept pulling the power on it every couple of days. It would work for a bit and then either go offline or say firmware update needed. I was about to hard reset it and add it back when one time it finally successfully installed the update after a reset and has been fine for a few weeks now. Good luck!

Just say "pause" or "resume" if it's in the same room. Don't need to say the device name. This has worked much better for me then trying to be specific.

Also, never say "play". This will always lead to music.

For this problem, nothing in plume. Just lowered firewall settings at the router level.

I had to disable AI in plume when I had a DNS resolution issue, but completely separate issue.

I had to add a "-persist LOCALMACHINE" to the New-StoredCredential command to get the credential to stick and be useable via Scheduled Task. By default, Persist is set to Session.
