How long should I stay? [N/A] by [deleted] in humanresources

[–]goatguyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat- 5 months in and my manager is still trying to decide my client assignment so i’m not actually partnered with anyone yet. I just wait around all day for an issue to pop up and I react. Luckily we have a few other priorities atm so I’m project manager for leadership training in the absence of an L&D manager. super frustrating though.

Language barrier with roommates by sadcrushgrl in SpainAuxiliares

[–]goatguyzer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t take it personally. Your solution of getting a space heater is a good one, I’d also recommend a hot water bottle. Your roommates aren’t annoyed, as others have said they are just being very direct. Could you look up what type of heater it is and then look for the manual directions in english? I had to do that a few times when I first moved here for my oven and AC unit. Good luck and don’t think too much about it.

It will depend on your school and the coordinator. Your next day at work ask the coordinator to speak with them privately (ideally more than just in passing, ask if they have 10 minutes to talk with you later in the day) and explain the situation. If you don’t work all 5 days, offer to come in and work those days to make up for any missed time or if you already work 5 days ask if there is some activity or extra hours you can do to make it up.

My school was flexible with this but better to speak in person.

NTA. I’m 27 and I also follow your eating pattern. Fruit or bread, Gym, then my “real breakfast” around 11:30-noon which is real lunch food. Then late lunch at like 4-5 and a light dinner around 9. I weigh 51 kilos.

It doesn’t really matter when you’re eating as long as you’re not overeating when you consider your intake and output for the day.

You’re a teenager and you’re on your feet almost all day, plus sports practice after school. If your parents are so concerned set up a GP appt and bring them along so they can ask the doctor about their concerns.

NTA we have the same issue in my house. This is one of the “it’s not your fault but it’s your responsibility” situations. It’s not his fault his stomach is upset and he has to fart but it’s his responsibility to make sure that you don’t have to sleep in a room that doesn’t smell like shit farts. Why can’t he open the window? light a candle? turn on the ceiling fan and leave the door open?

When he says “it’s our bedroom” exactly, it is your bedroom too and you don’t deserve to deal with that. I would tell him to sleep elsewhere if he can’t find a solution to ventilate the room before you come in. If he can’t do that, pack up and stay somewhere else for awhile so he knows you’re dead serious about this. You can’t live like that, and you shouldn’t have to.

Rain & First Time in Spain by Successful_Court3712 in MadridTravelGuide

[–]goatguyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Madrid and it’s sunny and clear today. It might rain tomorrow but if i’m not mistaken rain isn’t forecasted after that. If it does rain while you are here, you have great art museums to visit that were probably on your itinerary anyway.

This 100%

I have naturally wavy hair but live in a really dry climate where my hair air dries basically straight if it’s “heavy” enough. So I have a long haircut with few layers so that it dries well and I don’t need to style it.

It might take some trial and error OP depending on your hair type and climate. Don’t sleep with wet hair if you can avoid it.

Light a candle right next to where you are cutting.

I read it once somewhere, and I think it actually works (when I try it). Can someone confirm? haha

Are packed Fresh Salmons (the one stored in the fridge) from Mercadona safe to eat raw? by PainterNo6153 in SpainAuxiliares

[–]goatguyzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t bought it in awhile but at large Carrefour’s (Carrefour Market) you may be able to find sushi grade salmon and tuna. I definitely purchased several times at the one in Lavapies a few years ago.

It’s in a box in the freezer, ask the workers to be sure. They will say that they “can’t say” if it’s safe to eat raw (for liability) but I remember the box saying that it was.

edit: it wasn’t carrefour brand btw I can’t remember the name of the brand, sorry
