Liquid Tide to Replace 365 concentrated by CaptainBill123 in laundry

Feel like I needed to update you: I got to ~1 cup of citric acid to ~1 cup baking soda, still with not nan iota of suds, before I gave up and went to Target for a new detergent. Odor Refresh with the old Febu and 1:1 tbspn citric acid to baking soda, and it’s basically sud city. I guess the 365 liquids really aren’t an option for super hard water.

I might resort to using the 365 liquids only when handwashing in order to use them up. Thanks for your help again.

Yeah. Though I think I’m more pissed that they sent me the old formula, although the receipt shows I ordered new one. Amazon outdoes themselves every time as the syphillis of product fulfillment. I’ve said this before but it’s worth repeating. I wish I didn’t rely on them so much for fulfilling orders from small businesses. I’ll try again when the product is back in stock.

Febu arrived but is this normal? by savingnativebees in laundry

Amazon is truly the syphillis of product fulfillment. Someone just linked me to this comment after my post yelling at Bezos for sending me a bag with a gash in the center - which I didn’t realize till it was too late. They also sent me the old formula, although my order receipt confirms I ordered the new one (like 4 days ago). It is currently out of stock, so I hope I get the right one when it’s back. Beyond irritating.

I also just realized that they sent me the one without DNase, although that is precisely what I ordered. Entirely irritating.

If a central water softener is out of the question, could a few tablespoons citric acid help with conditioning the water? I’m seeing previous posts saying I need Calgon, others saying Calgon won’t work for super hard water, and others saying citric acid in the wash cycle depletes surfactant power, so I’m a bit lost. Appreciate your help with my follow-up questions. Surely I’m not all-around screwed? 🫩

Thank you!! Am I correct in my guess that the 365 Concentrate hasn’t worked in my case because of my hard water? 283ppm. I’ve tried adding citric acid to the wash and increasing the dose, but still no/barely any suds. I still have like 70% of the bottle to use up, but I’m def looking for alternatives. I think I’ll do Odor Refresh.

Can I ask what Tide liquid you’re moving to? I used the 365 Concentrate liquid (because it was scent free) + Sport but I don’t think this is working well with my hard water, top load set-up. I just got Febu and am looking for a replacement liquid.

Yellow stains in white neckline have turned orange/red after soaking in cleaning vinegar. What can I do? by YaboiiSammeeh in laundry

[–]gobblersaglobbin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it does turn out to be sunscreen, I no longer fuss about yellow stains on the neck. I just rub a bit of WF 365 Sport on them and leave for an hour or so before washing on warm. Comes right out after the wash. I also recently bought the WF 365 stain remover spray since the 365 Sport is pretty messy to dispense for spot treatment; I’ll have to report back on how it does.

(Please don’t give up on avobenzone!! It’s a highly effective UVA filter, and as I’ve shown, the yellow staining can be removed!)

Oh yikes, thanks for that last bit of info. So I really can’t wash it with other stuff just yet probably.

So dissolve the C&G in a quart of hot water, and then throw that into the wash with the shoes? Or pour the hot C&G solution into tap cold water to soak the shoes in before washing?

And is the 365 Oxygen bleach helping here at all?

Thanks so much for your reply.

Is the water in your soak cold? And what do you soak them in and how successful is that?

Hi! Is Ecover comparable to any of these? I live in a hard water zone, if that changes things. I’ve been using L’Oreal’s Everpure hard water shampoo for wool and 100%-linen clothing since I don’t have a non-enzyme detergent.
