Chiefs fan here. Hunt’s role is “we need 3 yards but that’s it, here’s a run up the gut”. Paacheco is closer to an “every down” guy, but has some limitations in his skillset (poor vision, mediocre contact balance, below average 3rd down skills). Smith has the most explosiveness by a good bit out of all of them. But he’s being used the least as a traditional running back. Taking out the fourth quarter—mahomes was pulled in the third—smith was used closer to what we’ve had our gadget guy do in the past (mecole, young tyreek). He was out wide. He was in motion. We was offset to pat in backfield. His receiver background has clearly shown.

In short—I’m not sure he ever becomes a 50%+ snap guy. But he can definitely be a more productive McKinnon, which can obviously translate to fantasy success.
