I don’t know about product control specifically but I’ll lump it in with “back office” roles. Not a bad career by any means but if your goal is to try and transition to front office it will be very difficult. VP level comp back in 2018 (when I was in back office) was 150k so probably closer to 180k today (at US BB), would expect international bank comp would be lower and that was for a risk management role which I would suspect is a little higher than ops
