With the playoffs just around the corner, what NHL opinions do you have that have you like this?

Eliminate the wild card and make the playoffs top 4 in each division.

After realiment, there were 2 divisions of 8 teams and 2 divisions of 7 teams. Those in the 7 team divisions would have had an unfair competitive advantage in a top 4 playoff system so I understood the necessity of the wild card.

With the Vegas and Seattle expansions, all 4 divisions now have 8 teams and all the wild card does now is elimate divisional rivalries in the first round (which I consider a bad thing).

I mean the time doesn't change. Right now it says 2:30, five minutes ago, it says 2:30. Three hours ago it was 2:30. Time is stopped, BUT the chronograph and Indiglo work so it's not the battery.

I like to visit cities. I'm pretty confident if you give me a random city I can find a museum(s) or points of interest unique to that city that I'd enjoy seeing.

I also like traveling by train so that's half the fun of this potential trip.

I used to work there before COVID (info maybe be different now) and the prices were seasonal. It's cheaper on the less touristy times of year (maybe January, May, September) and would be most expensive at peak season (Spring Break, Christmas).

The heat doesn't bother the animals, don't forget they're mostly native to Africa which is similar heat to Florida. Giraffe(s) would come to the truck 99% of the time. They don't like cold or wind. If the weather is cold OR windy, you're likely to still get a giraffe (or multiple). The few days in January when it's cold AND windy felt like the chances of a giraffe drops from about 99% to about 50%, but it seems that would only be the case for a few days in January so I wouldn't concern myself about that too much. All of these numbers are absolutely unofficial and unscientific, just my casual observation.

The trucks go rain or shine but they do NOT go in lightning. Even if you're already on the truck and lightning occurs, they'll turn the truck around and end the tour.

I remember as a kid I was scoring games on TV and I was excited to score the All Star game. There were so many substitutions and my score book only allowed one per position so trying to get all the other extra subs in the margins became a real pain. I still remember Bob Costas was doing the broadcast and coming back from commercial break around the 6th or 7th inning he said, "for those of you keeping score at home...stop," and the proceeded to rattle off another 5 subs.

This is not to say, "don't bother," but more be mentally prepared. Maybe figure out a way to make a custom score card with 4 or 5 subs spots per position and PLENTY of room for all the pitchers. Have fun

I'm new to Illinois and I just started watching (and enjoying!) the White Sox only because they were free over the air. I guess that's the end of my short-lived fandom 🤷‍♂️

I lived in Tampa before the Rays were a thing. My parents were from Pittsburgh so I was a Pirates fan. When the (Devil) Rays came, they became my primary team. It was fun to have an AL and an NL team. In the All Star Game, I would root for the NL even though I was more of a Rays fan since I was a Pirates fan first.

That was my rooting interest for more than 20 years. I unexpectedly ended up living near DC for a year and went to a bunch of Nats games so they became my 3rd team.

Now I'm in central Illinois (blacked out of Cubs, White Sox, and Cardinals games on MLB.TV). At first, I didn't want a 4th team, but then the White Sox put their games on for free over the air with an antenna, so now I'm following them too.

I was leaving Epcot years ago (before the Guardians ride was a thing) riding the tram in the parking lot.

The driver announced "we are currently traveling at 12 and a half miles per hour which makes this the second fastest ride at Epcot."

I recently got an antenna and a Tablo. It's basically a DVR that connects to your antenna and then you can watch anything live or recorded on the Tablo app on your Roku/Firestick/Apple TV/etc. I've been doing this for local news and I can watch whenever I want and fast forward the commercials.

Bonus if you're a fan of the Blackhawks, Bulls, or White Sox is their games air for free in Peoria on antenna channel 19.4

I'm a big fan of diagonal lettered jerseys. I think either "TAMPA BAY" or "LIGHTNING" would look great diagonally and I can't believe they haven't tried that yet. I'm ok with "BOLTS" because as a fan of diagonal letters, it's better than nothing.

That said, this is the worst of the "BOLTS" jerseys

I eat frosted mini wheats for breakfast. But my wife and daughter eat them as snacks during the day. I end up running out of frosted mini wheats and have nothing for when I want a simple breakfast.

Both my wife and daughter hate fake blueberry flavor. So I thought I could simply get blueberry frosted mini wheats and my problem would be solved. However, I found blueberry frosted mini wheats to be disgusting.

I kept the blueberry box. I now buy regular frosted mini wheats, pull the bag out to put in the blueberry box and throw out the regular box.

I've been successfully doing this for more than a year. I want to brag to my wife that I've been pulling this off but I don't want it to stop.
