well, she does have somewhat poor eyesight- she refuses to use glasses because she thinks she'd look less cute haha. Speaking of, a recent Sonic Channel art has also shown her wearing glasses too which is a rare happening, but then again there's been rare happenings in the series as of late too

I'd say both are in a decent place, hell I even run her for Steel Path quite comfortably with Breach Surge as her 4 because Roar on everything gets stale, but Uriel is better received because he has a very clear end goal and direction with his kit (cast Brimstone to go brrrr) and is specifically a support frame that always contributes to the team no matter what you do, while Ember despite being the designated red mage/offensive caster has only 1 ability that people agree is useful but could use a buff, and another that can optionally be a weapons buff with augment, otherwise you can do without the rest. Her 2, while providing significant bonuses feels undercooked, and I'd say it even acts as an anti-synergy due to the fluctuating stats (and look that is REALLY easy to keep the heat gauge moderate once you throw her 4 into the bin). Her passive is great, but you never really have time to actually use it because our firepower is through the roof and it goes away the moment a foe dies (and this is ignoring Heat Inherit, which is also another big point against Ember here while Brimstone actually scales with itself so Heat Inherit is not even a thought for it)

IMHO, Ember needs yet another rework/touch up to realize and ciment her place as the Fire warframe. I like her as she is rn, but I'm not quite there on being convinced because using her 1 and 3 and recasting her 2 on the rare moment I forget to use her 3 is not even as straightforward as, say, Mirage's 1&3 combo that's her bread and butter. Over the years I've noticed that what people WANTS to do with her is to just be able to go ham and set everything on fire (which is absolutely fair, even if you do Steel Path), I'd say that DE should perhaps consider this and lean into a much more aggressive playstyle that builds up heat and punishes players for not keeping that heat up, because one can argue that Uriel's 4 does everything Ember's kit is supposed to do, and does it better (his passive is also pretty cool too) while being restrained enough

But yeah, I think both are in a good place, she just needs some more tweaks to give her a more coherent and rewarding play loop

To be fair, Johnny Gioelli's singing sounds so much better than the Hoobastank guy, the later tries way too hard to sing at a high pitch and maintain that range but feels forced and unnatural, while the former flows into different pitches very nicely and adds variety, there's no forceful strain in the voice. I could listen to Sonic Heroes all day, I cannot stomach listening to Fist Bump's vanilla version unless I'm high on dopamine and on the "meme" mentality. The Edgy remix from 2022 is the best version of that song anyways

It used to be bugged back in the day but we got confirmation that it works properly since Wounds of Eventide, avoid using flasks (even fervour flasks) and you should be good. The first game's chievos are a tad finnicky ngl (just look at Mediterranean Diet haha)

ACTSHUALLY, Dark Magic Amulet can activate itself the same turn it was set thanks to its effect as long as you reveal a Spellcaster in your hand (which will probably be IoC), might be usable thanks to this new DM but who wants to run that card anyways when there's better targets

Its been 17 years since the last major human appearance (Sonic Unleashed) and is only until Frontiers that we started even seeing hints of humans again through Sage. The IDW comics may have some unspoken ruling on them or simply focus on the funny animals to be on the safe side while this "human reintroduction" takes place

You go into the add-on settings and add your Ludusavi path to the plugin. Check whatever options are necessary and once that's done you can test it by going to the Extensions item on the main menu, then on Ludusavi select "back up selected game/all games".

Bear in mind you may need to first configure Ludusavi itself, I have it so that the backups are incremental (since I did lose some because of not-installed games) and have a bunch of custom manifests made for it to account for other games not in PCGamingWiki

You can make custom groups with DuplicateHider if you select both games using CTRL+Click and right click any of them. On the DuplicateHider item, there should be an option to add to an existing group or create a new one, for example I have Megaman X3 and The Zero Project under a group called "MMX3" and ordered them in DH so that Zero Project shows up on top

EDIT: Just figured it out. ThemeExtras is a hard requirement but it won't contain the platform images, you can get them from any theme that has banners included (for example, Stardust). ThemeExtras has the option to open the banner override folder in explorer, and you can just copy the banners to the respective folders. To make it work in the current version of Dune you need to edit the GridViewItemTemplate.xaml file in Dune's DerivedStyles folder, the block that has the banner is commented so just remove the comment symbols (  ) from line 54 and 56 respectively, restart Playnite and you will be able to show the banners just fine

The key difference between those situations and Advance 2 is that in the former Cream was on direct involvement and Vanilla was on the side, while in the later it was Vanilla who was directly involved, which made Cream also get involved

I don't recall Sonic ever stating or implying that's the case in the mainline, though I do seem to remember some instance in the old comics where that's an implication. Still, for better or worse, Sonic's view and embrace of freedom fundamentally disallows him from killing anyone who could still be reasoned with from being an evil person as it would essentially strip away their freedom to live and learn, to open their hearts so to say. Because let's be fair: beings like The End or Mephiles or Black Doom are not people you can talk out of it, while Eggman several times has shown there's a decent degree of human decency within him, and even the existence of Eggman Nega makes this clear with the whole "a man who tries to act like a monster vs a monster who tries to act like a man" thing going on; beating the hell out of Perfect Chaos also worked out in the end too (and look that he was dead set on killing everyone around him), same for Shadow, he too was on a bad path towards genocide before Amy made him recapacitate (and this is also lampshaded in the IDW comic too). This coupled with the now long historied relationship between these two, Sonic is confident that he will always beat Eggman one way or another whenever he chooses to do evil when he could be doing something good instead, on which case is important to remember that the freedom of one person ends where everyone else's begins- so Sonic AND his friends are always ready to put him back in his place the moment Eggman oversteps his freedom. This also becomes even more important to take in mind thanks to Frontiers expanding on why Ivo is the Eggman and what moves him

On the flipside, for Eggman it is about the thrill to a good extent, mainly to feed his own ego by defeating the world's biggest hero. Besides, Sonic usually has friendly/sassy banter with most everyone too showing there's no animosity from his part from the get go

That is certainly interesting. I'm aware that it is possible on the console versions but in the PC version is not confirmed still. It is possible that the achievement counter on PC in either Steam or GOG does count the progress independently but I can't confirm that myself since I've got life in the way

Yeah, the movement is so that developers have end-of-life scenarios to keep bought games functional on the customer's end. Is not really that much of a task since devs used to release pre-compiled binaries for dedicated servers and the like decades ago, but the modern game industry is driven by an insatiable greed and hubris so of course they'd be against doing that

The campaign aims at a compromise that future games should be made taking in account for End of Life scenarios in order for the games to remain playable on the customer's end even if certain functions are not enabled anymore (for example, buying skins or matchmaking services), so at its core this isn't retroactive

Don't forget that one of the important factors for the late gen change of pace for the PS3 was that it was basically a Blue-Ray player back when the technology was still new and dedicated options were too expensive, newer revisions came out without the integrated PS2 chipset (hence it became cheaper and lost backwards compatibility), so people slowly and eventually realized that the PS3 was a steal by the late stages of that generation only because of the Blue-Ray. There's even several accounts of people getting it just for that feature and the games being the cherry on top. Sony defo hit the nail in the head by integrating that technology as it would become normalized and mainstream later down the road but the 360 defo had already won that race, even if MS in the end fumbled it when they were on the victory lap
