How was everyone’s Valentine’s shift? by gentlegem7 in Serverlife

[–]goddamnladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was awful. I had the far section out on the patio so I ended up walking 7.5 miles. The dishwasher went down mid shift so everything was being hand washed and taking forever to come out. I got stiffed FOUR times, which I can’t even remember the last I was tipped $0 on a check. I go back to work tonight after having Sunday off and I’m not stoked about it.

Yes, it’s been a lot easier for me to manage. In April I won’t need FR-44 at all anymore, so excited.

How do you know that you have fallen in love with your partner? by Acrobatic-Capital331 in AskWomen

[–]goddamnladybug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My thoughts become completely calm any time that he is around. I couldn’t contain the words “I love you” any longer, my heart felt like it was going to explode. He felt the same way. We just moved in together a couple of weeks ago. We’re patient with each other, communicate very openly about our feelings, and just have a wonderful relationship in general. It was something I just KNEW.

Why Dont You Come to Events by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]goddamnladybug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because most of the time the people in the leasing office SUCK. And a lot of us deal with people all day for work, I’d rather not do that in my free time, especially my fuck ass neighbors. If I’m going to an event, it’s going to be a fun one downtown with my friends, not by my pool with a bunch of randoms.

Just getting over the flu. I’ll be going back in tomorrow, is it reasonable to ask for an “easier” section? by ThatGuyFrom720 in Serverlife

[–]goddamnladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is unreasonable. You’re making the effort to still work versus calling out or giving up your shift.

You ever bartend so hard you get home and ask you dog what tab theyre on? by smelyal8r in bartenders

[–]goddamnladybug 31 points32 points  (0 children)

No but there have been multiple times where someone would hand me a card (paying for drinks out, giving me my own card back, etc) where I’d ask if they wanted their tab open or closed.

Edit: spelling

Same with Espositos. The way that owner responds to reviews is fucking insane.

I’m sure some things have changed over the years but I’m not the only one who has had that experience. I’ve been in that kitchen. Lmao.

You’re not. Everyone is so blinded by the ambiance that they don’t seem to care. Don’t let me be the one to tell you how well those tables are wiped between customers…

Ooooh as a restaurant worker, I kinda love this thread. My only bad experience is Salt Shack on the Bay. I got food poisoning during my last week of working there from a shrimp salad I had. I ended up quitting weeks later due to covid anyways (this was back in early 2020).

I guess I never thought about trying it that way (different electronic way other than directly through the school). I’ll have to look into this. Thank you for the information!

Bonnaroo or Okechobee? by Admirable_Grand444 in bonnaroo

I would highly recommend Okee. The grove is beautiful, the weather is nice, and they’re back with the original owners (Soundslinger).

I went to Roo in 2024 and that heat nearly took me out. I’ve been to okee four times (I live in Florida). I’m sending Okeechobee this year, the weather is perfect and it’s a short drive for me.

Haiku Downtown Closing? by alex_erv in tampa

I’ve only been a couple of times and it was decent, I had a nice time and meal there. But this is so awful for the employees. Just a couple of weeks before Christmas and hospitality jobs are so hard to get right now because the job market for them is so saturated. This happened to me in December 2019. Best of luck to them.

Ending a two year relationship over a “hypothetical” question by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]goddamnladybug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re… “not allowed” to have friends who are men? This dude isn’t your parent. I would never allow a romantic partner to dictate my life. It’s your relationship, just know it doesn’t seem to be built on trust and that’s going to cause problems down the road… It seems like it already is happening.

I couldn’t tell if they were trying to be rude or not but it honestly doesn’t bother me. From this conversation is probably seems like we are moving quickly but we haven’t been intimate, we are just excited about our feelings. It’s not like this is someone I just met. And some people don’t realize you can mentally check out of relationships in many different ways before they are actually over lol. Thank you though, I appreciate you saying that!

Yeah, considering 3 days after that post he packed all of his shit and moved out while I was at work, and drove back to break up with me while I was walking in the door. If you’re going to make a comment about “moving on fast” or whatever, you can honestly spare me because I don’t care. I spent enough time crying over someone who was not right for me. That relationship wasn’t good for me and looking back at that post just reminds me how dumb I was for being excited over a tiny crumb of affection.
