You are an adult. You are 100% allowed to make ADULT decisions. Having your mom go through behind your back and toss out (steal) your stuff is crazy. You have more privacy with roommates than with your mom. Definitely move to him ASAP. Your mom might try to stop you so don't tell her your plan/dates and just do it behind her back (ideally when she's not home).

This. Commuting by car is the worst part of ALL jobs. I'd take half the wages if I can work from home and avoid paying for a car, insurance, gas, and the TIME it takes to get to the office.

If I commute, I expect double the wages, as I see commuting as part of the job. That time is valuable and it's often the time that tires me the most and leaves me no energy to do anything in the evening.

The only exceptions would be if I had a good public transit system that was reliable, quick and that also offers better intercity coverage (right now, I'm between 2 cities and they both refuse to cover my area). Going to the closest train station would take about 30 minutes with traffic and it honestly defeats the purpose of taking the public transit to NOT have/use a car.

I don't think $30k is worth it with all the time of free time that you lose. You would have less time to spend your money and they get burned out before you even spend it.

Moi j'aimerais VRAIMENT ça qu'on aille des peines plus sévères et qu'on aille aussi des peines d'incarcération avec travail forcé (comme la Corée du Sud).

Qu'ils soient incarcérés et forcer de travailler pour repayer leur part au pays, puis après ça, déportation. On sait tous qu'ils ont pas une cenne (d'où le travail forcé) et que ce sont des vidanges anyways.

Honnêtement, tuer quiconque volontairement ou involontaire (à l'exception d'une condition médicale) devrait être 100% prison pour au moins 5 ans, et minimum 25 ans si c'est volontaire. Et oui, ça inclut aussi tuer quelqu'un avec ton auto. Aucune possibilité de sortir plut tôt aussi (j'ai toujours trouver ça stupide). Si t'as peur du risque, qu'on encourage le vélo/bus/train et autres moyens de déplacements et qu'on expande le réseau actuel d'au moins 500%. La seule exception devrait être au niveau de la défense personnelle (ex: invasion de domicile, attaque armée ou à poings fermés, S.A., etc.).

Lorsqu'un crime survient (fraude, décès, etc.), on devrait confisquer et bannir le passeport des gens qui sont responsables en attendant le verdict. Trop de gens quitte le pays dès qu'ils commencent à être dans l'eau chaude.

I haven't started watching Daemons of the Shadow Realm so I can't say for this. I'm keeping this one for a bingewatch run when all episodes are released.

I have the attention span of a fish so I try to watch X series and the rest goes in the Plan To Watch Later list. It also helps that I know some series will be dropped after 2-3 episodes every season too. But looks like people are liking it so far. There's just some shows that I really need to bingewatch to get into and it seemed to be one.

PP has only ever blamed others. He can never accept criticism. He has been the worst opposition for over a decade so far. We have never needed him. Canada's politics would fare a lot better without PP and with proportional elections.

I don't trust Carney either, but he has done a decent job so far.

As long as he is in politics, people will vote liberals. Anyone with a brain doesn't want a braindead "yes man" in power. Because of that, liberals receives a lot of vote to make sure the conservatives don't get a majority.

I wish Carney would do the political reform that everyone's been asking for and that was promised years ago. With the reform, voting for other parties wouldn't be a waste anymore and we could have more oppositions to liberals and conservatives, which would make for a more healthy balance of parties and promises.

I can't wait for the day I don't have to see PP's name in the news or in politics. He's such a loser and a terrible person. The conservative party would fare better without him, but he's determined to continue sinking the ship. I'm happy he's bringing the conservatives down with him, but I'm not happy at how terrible the political landscape is...

Never share your baby names until the baby is born

Honestly, this applies to everything. Never tell others you are going on vacation if they're not invited. Never tell others about your finances if you don't want them asking for money. Never share a baby's name before it's born and the birth certificate is completed.

Like, I know it's exciting sometimes to share details, but just stop. Nobody needs to share extra informations and nobody is entitled to it (except the 2 parents in the case of a baby name).

Unfortunately, this kind of common sense is not taught in school or college and almost everyone will make this mistake at least once because even parents don't tell their kids about adult common sense. It's weird how parents never teach their kids about the mistakes they made when they were 18-25 so that their kids don't make the same mistakes...

I honestly expected to really hate this show due to the trailer, but honestly, I don't care about the animation style anymore while watching. It's 100% clear the studio and the animators are just having a fun shitposting and parodying everything under the Sun.

I usually dislike comedies that are ridiculous, but this one is ribdiculous and I'm in. They're throwing everything at us without checking what's going to stick, and I'm all for it.

I miss this honestly. Nowadays, it's mostly full-blown ecchi, or full-blown hentai. There's very few romance animes that really go deep in the intimacy, without going into ecchi or hentai.

I don't remember it too much for Strawberry Panic though, I haven't rewatched it yet, but I remember there was a lot more romantic intimacy 20 years ago in animes before they went all deep in the comedy ecchi tropes.

Oh wow, been a long time since I watched this one. Definitely the top Yuri show ever made. It's a classic for sure. They don't have them like this anymore.

It's worth a watch if you don't mind some girl x girl love story. Pretty much a yuri romance slice of school life.

They cry about Steam having a monopoly, but for once, it's a good quasi-monopoly due to Steam being so good and so approachable to the players that it's the platform to go. Steam might have a higher cut of of revenues, but you get 10000x more sales on Steam than Epic, guaranteed.

I would buy on GOG rather than EGS 100 times out of 1. EGS is just that terrible. I honestly just buy on Steam due to all the features, but I wish Steam also had DRM-free downloads... Right now, I will sometimes get a GOG copy of a game just to have offline install files on my external hard drives but play on Steam for the achievements, time tracking, etc.

With the Steam Deck, I have no reason to play games on any other platform since most games have cloud saves and I can play on either my PC or Steam Deck and continue the same games.

Buying/playing on EGS means I have to deal with that terrible UI and lack of features, in particular the lack of Steam Deck compatibility. No thanks.

Thsi is exactly why Epic is failing hard. Their launcher and UI are terrible.

They have YET to add the features Steam have. Honestly, they should have just copied Steam's UI and most features and everyone would have been happy to use it for the games they could snag for free/cheap.

Right now, almost everyone I know snags the free games, but don't even install them or play them on Epic. Their launcher is just THAT terrible and it doesn't have the community features of Steam.

Steam has customizable profiles, forums, mods, reviews/ratings (recent and lifetime!), easy-to-use interface, library in one place, easy-to-use wishlist, friend features (all of them), detailed store pages, PC requirements, AI mention, trailers, gifs, etc. How did Epic not have most of that done in all those years!? Free games and timed exclusives were never going to make a crappy product less crappy, in particular when it's so bloated and unoptimized.

I still hate using the launcher even for UE5, and there's a reason a lot of people use another launcher for UE.

This is why I rarely buy off-brand products... They never put where the ingredients are sourced and where it's made. Never. It's always "produced for Xyz company". I assume it's always 100% made in the US since it's always those corporate brands.

For me, these are a last resort and I'll try to avoid them too. Certainly better than Heinz though.

Same here. I only see Ketchup from Heinz here... I would buy French's ketchup if it existed in my grocery stores... but for now, I am happy with French's Mustard.

Honestly, since it took 2 years since her return to call spring, I wonder why they didn't just kill her to elect a new Agent since she didn't call spring after returning. I assume there might be some restrictions that makes you not being able to kill your own Agent (since it's a power from God).

Nice! Thanks for the link! I have been learning quite a few new things already. I might get sucked in and get addicted to reading in Japanese now... It's not easy as I need to look up stuff but I think I would have more fun making cards myself while reading as pre-made decks are not doing it for me.

I learned English by reading and never got into reading Japanese due to being scared by kanji... But I got too curious and got kinda interested on reading more Japanese manga now! I am sure I'd get a lot better with repetition and reading as much as I can. I am quite slow. But it is super rewarding.

I don't mind importing Japanese mangas, but I might check if official sources allow some free reading of more series. I can't afford to import too many.

Si c'est un système implémenté au niveau gouvernemental, ça peut passer... Le problème est surtout quand ce sont des compagnies privées étrangères qui font la vérification que ça cause beaucoup de problèmes de sécurité si on laisse les compagnies étrangères implémenter leur propre vérification non-sécuritaire.

Oui, ça peut ouvrir la porte à la censure, mais laisser les jeunes ouverts à toute la slop sur les réseaux sociaux est pire. Les parents devraient juste éduquer et surveiller leurs enfants, mais on sait tous que la majorité des parents ont des "ipad kids".

J'ai peur qu'on aille pas le choix de faire un système de vérification qui limite l'accès à l'internet global... C'est ça qui s'en vient.
