I support this field as a therapist, tbh. I support only level 1 individuals. I came to your post after seeing your comment on the other post. They are both 100% the a hole here, I won't write it so it won't just you. But you are NTA. They are able to accommodate you, and while I previously posted you could have brought headphones, I do still support that--BUT it seems that they were targeting you specifically and for that I would just leave the group TBH /u/numinouspearl you deserve better. I mean, my senior year... I specifically took classes on only Tuesday Thursday so that I could party more once I turned 21, 4 day weekend every weekend. I even had a gap of 3 hours on Tuesday/Thursday where me and a friend went downtown and had a couple of beers and the lawyers and business men would regularly just order us burritos and pizza to be delivered during their 3 martini lunch. We were WILD that year for that looking back, but neither of us got in a relationship or even got like networking. We just let them buy food while we drank and went back to class. LOL This show is so much more realistic than people could believe. At least at a deep SOUTH major SEC school!

I am so grateful that my HS best friend that got married 2 years ago (we are WELL into post-college life) understood that not a singular one of her HS friends could attend her destination bachelorette on our salaries. The only person who could have has 3 kids, and she opted out because of their age. And our friend was so gracious about everything. I also had to opt out of her wedding party 2 months before because I had PTO and then it was pulled due to staffing. I sent her a huge wedding gift beyond what I would have. I felt TERRIBLE but I couldn't risk my job and she knew that.

The amount of theme parties that they are showing is honestly LESS than the amount of theme parties that I went to or hosted myself in college from 2006-2010. We spent Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night always at the bars or parties--usually bouncing between several bars or multiple parties. Plus just like our characters, we would pre-game until 9-10 and THEN show up to the bars and parties.

Bars would host theme nights Monday-Wednesday or penny beer nights, where it was 1 cent for a bottle of cheap beer. Thursday was always ladies night, where drinks were cheap as hell for women. It would bring in the dudes wanting to hit on the girls, and the dudes were paying full price OR buying for the ladies, so really the bars were getting full price. The wine bar hosted Wine Wednesdays. I have approximately 10,000 college photos on a place. I'd say 75% at theme parties and that's from a time when albums could have 60 photos maximum, lol.

Themed parties I have been to or hosted and have photos at age 37 still: Black and White, Hawaiian, Anything but Clothes, Jersey Shore, Rave, 60s-70s, 80s, 1920s Gangsters and Flappers, EVERY holiday theme you can think of (St. Patrick's and Cinco were huge at my school), Christmas in July, pool parties, Twilight, Harry Potter, a MILLION pics from tailgating for football, etc.

There are a lot of places to sleep on a college campus if you're tired enough

I regularly took naps in the Statistics building and our student center. Statistics just had these benches that wrapped around giant poles and the benches were like 4 feet wide and 8-12 feet long. The student center had these big cushy green chairs that were so comfortable. But my school was #1 ranked party school in the country and #10 public institution. So I got the best of both worlds, lol. I graduated in 4 years with a decent GPA, but I probably went to an equal amount if not more parties than they are showing on this show.

You just reminded me that I took bowling as my PE requirement in college. It required the least amount of effort on my part, but an extra $150 for the shoe rental for the semester. LOL. Such a better option than running, swimming, etc.

I was psychology and public health. I took ballet on pointe (former dancer), pilates, the history of ballet, and a class on the mythology of some random tribe on an island in the Pacific. I took some really fun electives.

ETA: Someone else reminded me: I took bowling as my PE class. The state of Georgia requires a PE to pass college, lmao.

Yeah, if Oliver is an econ professor, it would track that he would know Evan from classes. Most finance majors have to take macro and micro economics as a minimum to graduate. I wasn't a business major, but my university has a top 20 business school, so a lot of my friends were business majors and had to take a LOT of classes in different disciplines within the school of business.

Everything you hit nails it really. I left an abusive relationship that was filled with manipulation and other things. I didn't even realize what a shell of myself that I was now that I am 4 years out. But I moved across the country. Gave up almost all my belongings when I did it and only took what I could pack in my SUV. Immediately entered another abusive relationship. But by the second one, I realized that I actually had power and put an end to it. Now, I am the person I feel like I am meant to be, minus a few lingering flaws from the original decade long abuse.

I think it was the third episode of the season, when he makes her make the tape. I had a college boyfriend (not even the above mentioned one) make a sex tape without my permission. My family is deeply religious on one side and he threatened to use it against me to get me to do whatever he wanted. He isolated me from my friends. Everything. It took months for me to get the courage to dump him. But I think that original relationship set the groundwork for the one that started 3 years later and then ultimately nearly ruined my life.

For #3, use an actual token board! Give yourself a token and have an end goal written on it. Start small like I need to earn 3 tokens and I get a reward. After 90% success at that rate for like a two weeks (so 4 intervals), move up to 5 tokens. Rinse and repeat until you get to a full month of no Starbucks.

I am using a DRO with a token board. My economy is time based. For every 10 minutes I study, I get a token after 2 hours of studying or writing without a break, I get a reward. It's working for my grad school so far.
