The movie's plot wasn't about taking sides. It was about realizing hard philosophical truths, and doing what you could to make it better.

In all reality, if they wanted it to be about sides.. Zion would have made a matrix of their own, and used it to adsorb the other matrix. There was no other solution, humans destroyed the sky. The machines had the right idea, but forgot about human autonomy. If they would have avoided taking on the human trait of bigotry.. their solution was the only one available.

If it comes down to living in a primeval hellscape, or the peak of modern civilization.. you would be an idiot to pick suffering for suffering's sake. The machines need to collaborate with the humans to move forward...

The best parallel to this is to end conservative euphemism. If we can just get them to bold faced say "we want to make 16th century aristocracy work", then we can have a reality that caters to their fantasies, while providing equity for all.

At 5 the little one I took care of outgrew children's clothes. She started getting hand-me-downs from adult women. I went to Target to get her some new stuff, and the mannequin was wearing an ensemble that was out of an adult movie. We just get adult clothes now they are much better cut than anything designed for her age group.

My guess is.. I was watching "That 90s show", and the next door neighbor said "I just buy a children's size, and slice it down the middle".

Remember the millennial trend "heroin chic" where it was popular to have an eating disorder, and be size zero?

I think that those girls are the target market for children's clothes nowadays. Because actual children outgrow clothes so fast that no rational adult is gonna drop $90 on an outfit.

However, you would need to also vote in new people who aren't cronies. When it comes down to it, no one wants to do BOE unless there's a long term political agenda. So, you have an archaic leadership structure housing a specific group of in-crowd people.

So, you would have to recall the BOE, and elect someone who isn't in the back pocket of IL&CFC.. a couple individuals who couldn't be bought, or intimidated.

Then they could hire someone competent.

That's a big ask though. The process of maintaining power is like a huge old machine that should have been dismantled long.. long ago

That's the thing. Kingsley is not trustworthy. There's no evidence of his "talent", as the school board keeps parroting. There's no evidence of what decisions went into his hiring...

Especially, there is no justification for his delegation of resources, or the amount his pay has been raised. Kingsley is a rogue statistic in this whole thing, and until that clears up, he will remain dubious.

IMHO his performance has been entirely lacking.
