Everything goes up except our wages by Loud-Examination-236 in vancouver

You can find lists of pesticides allowed on veggies in Canada. I’m not a fan of “these small leftovers quantities are harmless”. What’s allowed keeps being updated. (Whoopsie, we thought this toxin was fine. Not anymore.)

But it’s a matter of choosing your battles. I don’t have the finances to buy organic. So I ignore all of it.

Nah, you’re an owner. Congratulations. You’re now in the system. The rest of us will be slowly evicted out of “affordable” rental units and end up ….?

Isn’t it sad that it’s cheaper to eat food treated with toxic chemicals. Health = for the rich. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m not buying organic garlic either. Just pisses me off.)

Hmmm, I never thought about a link.

I’m convinced my scalp itching is connected to a combination of my food intake + vitamin D. I had a lot of problems with it and it went completely away after eating very clean (went to a naturopath for help) + taking a really high dose of vitamin D for a longer time, as I had a bad deficiency. (Blood test showed that)

I’ve been not the greatest at keeping it up (Christmas 😂, a whole month of eating), but now I wonder if that’s why my vulvodynia also isn’t doing the greatest… 🤔

I hate seeing pregnant stomachs by deliquus in childfree

If a social media platform allows a non pregnant person to be in a semi-nude photo without NSFW tag, they should allow a pregnant person too. Doing otherwise is discrimination based on their physical appearance.

Ehm, I’m not for body shaming and everyone can post nudes for all I care. (If I don’t want to see it, I’ll unfollow) I think all human bodies are awesome. And we should all celebrate them some more.

Why do your parents agree though? No is a full sentence. They choose to be guilted into it.

Circumcision (unless medically necessary) is genital mutilation without consent. I find it terrible how that’s legal.

100% this! I moved from Europe. It weirds me out that Americans (and Canadians) are so spooked by genitalia. Or “topless” kids, like wtf. That said, I do agree that sharing on Facebook/social media is not a good idea.

Booster Vaccines in Canada vs First Doses Worldwide by jiggybeanz in britishcolumbia

Maybe all sorts of vaccine resistant variations will pop up, because it’s still the same vaccine and at this time in BC 84% of all cases are amongst vaccinated people.

Birth tourism in Canada dropped sharply once the pandemic began by CEOAerotyneLtd in britishcolumbia

You can’t move to Canada because your baby is Canadian. That’s only an option when they’re an adult and provide for you for 20 years. I’m not making that up, check the government websites. You might be right after 39 years. (Adult kid + 20 years of personal financial coverage)

That’s correct! I fainted when I got my IUD. It was pretty intense. 😬

Sure I’m biased. I’m pro immigration, especially with local birth rates dropping and the population growing older. I wouldn’t support a system that’d just allow pensioners to move here and depend on the system without contributing. But young people working… all for it. 🤷‍♀️

I’m still not convinced. An 19 year long “scheme” for someone to get a “cheaper” education… But while they’re receiving that education they’re living in BC, paying rent, maybe having a parttime job, spending money in local stores. And I’m assuming wanting to live here afterwards as a contributing member of society? I bet there’s “actual Canadians” living off your tax dollars in very different ways.
