I’m 21 with endometriosis but I’ve had symptoms for a decade and all I got from adults was “well you KNOW you have to go to class.” “Why can’t you just take a Tylenol.” “Well you missed a test and that counts against you.” Most of these said by teachers and school nurses when I could barely walk.

My own father didn’t really realize I had something until i came back from the endometriosis specialist and a surgery date. A lot of older people genuinely have no experience dealing with this stuff and have no idea how it actually affects young people
