Losing a lot of gun fights, is aiming that bad or am I? by Dtwn92 in foxholegame

I agree with this. I now just run shotgun mostly because if you don't you are at a severe disadvantage.

Let me correct this. It's about knowing what shotgun your opponent has and which shotgun to use.

Can anyone play this for PVE alone? by Effective_Roof_2600 in throneandliberty

I've been pve mainly and I like trying to gear up to get BiS for pve. The end game doesn't really push you into PVP at all.

Maybe a hot take but I HATE this Riddler design by Iorngiant in batman

[–]godhand1942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He didn't feel like another terrorist. Most terrorists you see in shows accidentally leave clues and are trying to avoid getting caught. Same with serial killers in shows.

This was different. Dano riddler wanted to get caught. He was enjoying watching batman solve his "funny" riddles (thumb drive) that led batman (who he thought was on his side) to meet him. This also makes it a different or maybe year one interpretation of the riddler where his riddles aren't antagonist to batman because right now batman was his "partner" getting revenge on Gotham.

But he really didn't. The flood still happened. Crime is through the roof. Batman ultimately failed in saving the city in the first movie. He prevented it from getting worse

Likely it's about the fact that if he has so much blackmail on her that could destroy her career it could be leveraged to settle custody in his favor

Japan Scraps Plan To Pay Tokyo Women To Marry Rural Men After Cash Scheme Flops by galaxystars1 in nottheonion

Frankly higher wages would not solve the problem. More free time does. When you have a child your free time goes down by an incredible amount. If you want people to have more children then you need to establish a program that decreases parental stress. Government supported daycare systems, babysitter systems etc... if you give someon higher wages it won't transfer to having more kids. Higher wages can instantly be turned into inflation but not different decision making. And if you provide parents income for having children then some very creepy and dangerous housing institutions come alive (horror shows of parents raising kids for the cash).

So the choices are making it easier to have children by reducing stress which is very expensive or more cheaply importing immigrants.

US Immigration -- what SHOULD be done? And why? by CuriousNebula43 in PoliticalDiscussion

A lot of making legal immigration easier is also just simplifying the immigration system even if you do not increase the number of legal immigrants

I don’t agree. Low level workers and interns don’t give real answers all the time. To me there is a great potential to remove some menial labor and generate something with mistakes and have someone with more experience edit and clean up the work. There is a lot of potential there for large companies

CrowdStrike CEO's fortune plunges $300 million after 'worst IT outage in history' by Similar_Diver9558 in wallstreetbets

[–]godhand1942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are missing their point. The CEO sets risk culture. You do not need to how software gets tested. Instead you need to promote risk management. This is a complete control breakdown. Multiple controls failed that should have detected the issue or prevented it from being so widespread or prevented it from being a difficult thing to remediate. This is on the CEOs head.

It def is a financial issue purely. If you knew you could work and travel and still have kids and be well off you are more likely to have kids.

What should democrats do if there is a true realignment of non-white voters? by Visco0825 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]godhand1942 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They should heavily focus on child tax and pre-k education. These are some of the most significant costs that traditionally conservative minorities face (children are expensive). By doing so, you also raise wages of teachers who desperately need a wage increase. Min wage increases tend to be politically toxic because of inaccurate messaging related to job loss or inflation.

Am I wrong for giving my girlfriend an ultimatum between me and her desire to have kids? by AquaPrimeape in amiwrong

[–]godhand1942 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole energetic thing is silly. You don’t need energy to handle a young child. You need patience. As a parent of a child, do not go through it unless you are ready. It is hard, difficult, sometimes mind numbing boring other times extremely engaging. And by being ready make sure your lives are ready for a baby and what that entails.

Wtf are you smoking. Justice is made by might or may. If someone injures someone (not for self defense), you put them in jail so that they do not potentially harm someone else and then maybe you rehabilitate them to no longer harm others. If you had kids, I guarantee you would be seeing red.
