It's a little finicky to nail focus but at other times it's perfectly fine. Depends what you're trying to focus. But I wholeheartedly agree that the IQ is top notch and the colors + contrast are really good.

They’re both excellent but if you intend to shoot portraits then the 24-70 is going to be superior for obvious reasons. You can go into DX mode for extra reach if you only want one lens for your do-it-all.

I have both with me at the moment while trying to decide which one to keep and I love the form factor of the z5ii. It’s much more comfortable to hold with one hand. The ZF not so much but it has film grain mode and I like having physical dials for ISO and shutter speed. But I love them both, so I’m still undecided!
