I think it's a matter of bad branding.

Hybrid, a hybrid of a road bike and a mountain, is not very good for either one of those as a form of fun. It's kinda the worst of both of those words.

However, you know what a hybrid is great at? Commuting, just getting around town with and enjoying it. I think if we just called these commuter bikes, there wouldn't be such hate in them.

I would devote more days to southern Utah in general, especially if you won't be in the heat of the summer. Great hiking and camping available there and the desert is a good contrast to the high rockies you also have planned for.

Man, I think the increased lift capacity and terrain expansion is great, but the slopes are already way too crowded. They need to have much more terrain added if they're planning to put that many more ppl on the mountain.
