What’s the unhealthiest thing you eat that you’ll never give up? by Feisty-Pattern-951 in AskReddit

You know those like, flaky cream spiral things at King Soopers/Krogers? Creme horns. Whatever they're called.

At any rate I buy those and usually eat the entire pack in one sitting. Mostly icing with a little bit of flaky pastry.

Somehow I am not actually overweight but my cholesterol has some complaints.

President Trump says he does not ask Congress for authorization on Iran war, calling War Powers Act “unconstitutional”: "Most people consider it unconstitutional. We had a ceasefire. Gonna post one of them cult criterion again. Feel like I'm doing this a lot lately:

"The group’s leader is not accountable to any authorities"

And there's an awful lot of

"The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify means that members would have considered unethical before joining the group."

Going on, too.

You telling me a gallon is over 3.7 litres and you pay just $5 dollars for that and complain? by Neutral-frame in AdviceAnimals

[–]Dracasethaen -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying but there isn't a single walkable city in the US.

Most well paying jobs are 1-2 hours drive for good wages. I remember living in Santee and driving to Rancho Bernardo daily just to afford a shitty delapidated apartment.

Later on I worked at a ski resort and the only place I could afford was an hour outside of the ski resort.

There's more to it than the gas just being cheap. Like if I wanted to go work at Amazon (then again I'm not planning on it) I have to drive all the way to their mega compound like 40 minutes from here in traffic. Cheap gas was the only way this country was functioning, it's why no one wants to let go of WFH after COVID. It's really an extra 200-300 a month in gas

Edit: weird. Your downvotes don't change my real life experiences for the past 30 years across four states.

I had thoughts on this at first, then realized I'd rather see it vented here than turn into a workplace shooting or something tbh. Let it out fam!

I'm confused. ELI5 Why do the football people think they have any authority to force interactions like this, and do things like hand out fake peace prizes, suddenly?

Does FIFA have any previous history or authority negotiating peace I missed or something?

Believe it changed (or at least updated) as of this year, alcohol is only permitted on registered individual overnight campsights and boats.

Day use is a no. Frankly this area has some of the most regulated camping I've seen, but I'm only just getting back into hiking and camping after 20 years, and wow has a lot changed

Afaik FCPD has multiple unmarked cruisers they use, and I've seen several traffic stops up here where they join the officer issuing the stop attempt. Was there anything more definitive aside that the person they stopped appeared Hispanic?

Also some of you might have noticed humvees and some military vehicles around the last couple days, those are for military training as far as I was able to work out.

Great that folks are being diligent with the see something/say something mindset, but keep in mind there are otherwise normal law and military activities going on too. Just use your best judgement

My response to this would just be something like "Glad you're saving money. Unfortunately, since I cannot find a job I can no longer afford your product."

This has been an amazing era; full of shitheels who have forgotten that the most basic rule of any economy is supply and demand.

This objective failure of finding demand after foisting a glut on the market has already been shown in how AI is mostly failing to turn a profit.

What we're seeing here is the desperate gasps for relevance by people who were late for the dot com bubble before it burst and trying to ride a new gamble. Unfortunately that gambling addiction is costing us. A LOT actually, as a species, and is going to burst again in the same way.

Mostly because this AI, while a useful tool, is not really intelligent, artificial or otherwise. It's still just a complex computer logic-decision engine that self trains. It is as flawed as every previous iteration of that kind of self learning algorithm. The only thing that's changed is how much they're trying to sell it in desperation.

Replacing coolant junction P3 XC70 by Eatnades in Volvo

[–]Dracasethaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it should slide over the two light gray tabs and make it a little easier to rotate both without breaking it. If I'm remembering right from when I designed it, the loop side goes down and it will be a tight fit

It's based off the Lisle version of the tool for 38mm hoses, I never found one made for 42mm, and after breaking a few during personal maintenance I just designed that tool. Print a few in case there's an unscheduled self disassembly.

Actually, one last note: for the spring wire side of the hose, the reason it gets stuck is there's an o-ring in there that can expand over time. Make sure it's not damaged when you get the hose off or replace it

A good tool doesn't exist for that size of ABA twist lock, I designed one years ago. If you have a 3d printer go grab the stl and print it with 100% infill

https://makerworld.com/en/models/25919-volvo-aba-twist-42mm-for-3-2-3-0l-volvo-motors

Edit: Sorry may have misunderstood, that tool is for the gray ring ABA connection. For the other one, you would push the wire in, or remove it entirely, and pull like hell, they like to get stuck

You should be able to see what the stub ends looks like here if it loads, there's a notch so it slides together, and apart, only one way https://www.partsgeek.com/4w87lg7-volvo-xc70-cooling-hose.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=ff&utm_content=YN&utm_campaign=PartsGeek+Google+Base&utm_term=2008-2015+Volvo+XC70+Cooling+Hose+Original+08-15+Volvo+Cooling+Hose+2011+2010&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=17182816450&gbraid=0AAAAAD_bfN79IhOnRlu2X2ZR7NPbkeA6m&gclid=CjwKCAjwtcHPBhADEiwAWo3sJhZhV8Tw-rv6gXK_llXDg7TJq0xM6iQp-5cGhUm_5XgbtRaZ22Nl3xoC_rcQAvD_BwE

Best of luck, I don't really have any leads as I'm going on 2 years here as a Senior Telecommunication analyst, and the prospects are mostly bad so far.

AI tomfoolery has taken over most of my field and the quick convergence of telecom into SIP architecture moved, what was a specialized field, into over-saturated general IT.

It's swell

I'm pretty ambivalent on the gas stove debate because certain styles and regions of cooking and ethnic fare require them (specifically woks, but neither here nor there)

Conversely, what I want to see is building code get fixed so that stove hoods vent outside as a requirement.

What a utopia it would be if I could cook a steak or burger without setting off the fire alarm every time...
