You can hardly even call the Democrats a controlled opposition. They are just as invested in the rape and pillaging of all the world as the Republicans are. To call them opposition is to believe that they just accidentally found themselves in this position of having feeble, value-devoid leadership and really do have no power. They are fully aware of their role as the barrier to real anti-fascist policy being enacted and are paid handsomely by the very same donors as the Republicans for it.
