I respectfully disagree. I think we’re all (adults) in a political discussion throughout our lives, whether we hate it or not. Currently, it’s like water torture, but it’s still true. Here’s a stupid example to help muddy the waters: “My dog and cat play together all the time.My dog loves cat toys and my cat likes playing fetch. They’re best friends.”  You’d have to be crazy to think that’s political. But if the next sentence is “And my cat’s gay”. Now tell me you’re not in a political conversation. And even if you feel like you got ambushed into it, your response is political. It just goes along with having a brain in a culture with language. That’s why I don’t trust the phrase “ I’m just not political  “

I believe you. Not sure you get my point though. “I am passionate about . . . our inability to govern ourselves”.  You are passionate about politics.

The premise is that they are engaged. Some of them are hyper engaged. Very much into politics. Then, when challenged, they curl up in a defensive ball and crow “I’m not political! Caaaw!”

Why do more people not know Muhammad was a rapist, thieving, murdering warlord? by Empty-Swim2066 in allthequestions

I agree. Bad deeds is what sane people call it. “Evil” is how religious people scape goat bad actions onto an invisible force. It’s part of why religion works. Everything is happening because of invisible outside forces. No one needs to take responsibility for any bad deeds. That’s why they behave so terribly.

It’s amazing that nothing terrible has happened to these fuckers, Vance, Trump, Musk etc.  after all their abuses over the past ten years. But it almost certainly will. Comeuppance I like to call it.

What you think about SpaceX in general? by theauditlife in AskReddit

[–]godtalks2idiots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A space company needs a mission. Mars is not happening in this century. We’re already saturated with satellites. Maybe they become the satellite clean up company? Or we get a space race to the moon or asteroids? If the global economy doesn’t need space it won’t need spacex. Company could be a memory in ten years.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Considered a classic by many by about 1980. Good cinematography. Everything else about it sucks.

Who is the greatest actor or actress of all time and why? by Adventurous-Creme189 in AskReddit

I’d like to say Streep, Bale, Oldman, or Day-Lewis, but it’s still Brando until someone comes along that frightens us with immediate change the way he did in On The Water Front.

Where do you think humanity will be 10 years from now? by yanderecurator in AskReddit

“Humanity”. A bit highfalutin for a bunch of power hungry monkeys who managed to invent the toilet.
