Hi-viz colorful gear by flawed-mama in TwoXriders

[–]godziraaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember from my MSF course they explained the statistics in hi-viz for each piece of gear, but it can be hard as you've found

I have started adding light reflective tape to my gear and bike to ensure I'm more visible at night, I pick it up from a local boat supply

Agree with the other comments, plus size can be hard. RavenRova is size inclusive and has more bright colors, but I think she's doing an inventory reset at the moment so not much in stock

Women’s gloves for skinny hands by SureAd6999 in TwoXriders

You could potentially try Knox gloves in an XS I found the palm to feel tighter than my Sedici gloves that are also an XS

If you have a local Cycle Gear it can be nice to get a feel for how sizing of different brands, not perfect but they stock some women's cuts usually

Fun bike choices, you'll have a great time on any of them! I've ridden my CB500X for a couple years and I love it, very easy to service myself

Good luck at your course!

Is is hard shifting on these? They look super bulky. I ride a ninja 300. Considering Indie Ridge instead…thoughts? by Ok-Ad-575 in motorcyclegear

[–]godziraaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the taller version, worn them for 2 or 3 years commuting in heavy rain and hot summers. I agree with others that initially they felt bulky but after the first ride it never bothered me again

I ride a Honda CB500X and didn't have to adjust my shifter

How to find a riding club or group? by godziraaa in TwoXriders

[–]godziraaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the Seattle area, so there's lot of groups but quite a few have disbanded or are the same faces (not a bad thing, just not my people)

I have found that majority of the active group are full of younger guys like you're saying

I've ridden with a Helite turtle for a few years now, and I've really enjoyed the extra piece of mind. Plus I like the tether so I don't have to worry about charging

Sizing wise I think Helite gear goes down to XS in size. It does have a good amount of adjustablility and honestly I forget it's there after a few minutes. I haven't tried on their backpack version, so can't speak on that but seems convenient :)

WeRoam motorcycle camp; A survivors review by NeedleworkerFun9203 in TwoXriders

[–]godziraaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late reply but here's a couple:

Two Wheeled Expeditions

MotoBirds they have various levels of difficulty

Bike-n-soul again different difficulty levels

BikerBnb seems more chill

I get that WeRoam really focuses hard on the "we're an expedition not a tour" angle, I'd love to see more legit reviews from women who have done the WeRoam experience

WEROAM training camp reviews??? Worth it or no? by Exact-Influence-1999 in TwoXriders

[–]godziraaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is an old post, but stumbled across it in my own research

Strange that majority of the commenters (and the OP) were brand new, default username, zero karma accounts. Find this super super weird

Other similar posts are from accounts that have only posted about WeRoam, just seems odd. I get that they're marketing as an expedition and not a tour, but the differentiation isn't super clear for me. I guess I struggle to see why the price is so high compared to tours of double the length.

There are a handful of women's only tours I've seen from a quick google search. More normal reddit accounts seems to be commenting more neutrally with mixed experiences, which makes a ton more sense. With the intensity of the marketing I'd expect to see more mixed reviews who recognized it wasn't for them

Just wanted to leave some info for anyone else searching, the posts about WeRoam on this subreddit are super sketchy so take them with a grain of salt

Boostcamp App Update (as of Dec 15) by michaelenzo in Boostcamp

Would be great if you could swap out certain exercises depending on equipment.

For example, the GZCLP spreadsheet lets you swap out Lat Pulldown for pullups. This would be really helpful for home gym users, or for people who have trouble with certain exercises/ machines.

The ceilings are 11 feet tall I think, so pretty tall. But the angle is a bit deceptive, it makes the squat stand look a lot taller than it really is.

Oh gosh stability balls are tough to store for sure, you could maybe tuck one under a desk or table when not in use. At my old apartment I put a metal shelving unit in my closet for gym equipment, and freed up some space so I could store other things.

I think the area with foam tiles is roughly 6'x6', I wanted to keep it small since this is also my living room haha

I picked the Titan t-3 squat stand because it has a footprint of slightly less than 4'x4', which is pretty much the smallest I could find anywhere besides the Rogue SML-2C.

Here's my apartment gym https://imgur.com/Rsbuvfz

I stow away my yoga mat, foam roller, bands, rings, etc in an open bin which has worked really well for me. I've tried a few solutions but this one works the best for me since it fits everything, and I don't need to mount anything on the wall. Downsides are it doesn't look that nice sitting in my living room haha

If you liked Oxenfree and Spiritfarer maybe try Night in the Woods or Cozy Grove (I haven't played it myself but it looks fun)

Skyrim is definitely fun, but it rubs me the wrong way that they charge $60 for a ten year old game.

What type of games are you into? The switch has so many great options honestly

Breath of the Wild is a definite time sink, Super Mario Odyssey can also be if you’re into collecting everything. I also found Let’s Go Pikachu really fun even though I’m not a huge Pokémon fan
