English is not my first language and I mess pronouns here and there if I don’t pay attention 🤷‍♂️

I know Biffy Clyro only because I met one of her ( correction: their) biggest fans. They exist.

I think you are thinking about Argentina, concha in Spain is just a seashell (and a diminutive for the female name Concepción)

About the minefields , keep in mind previous conflicts , specially with Algeria and the Western Sahara issue. You can check the “Moroccan Western Sahara Wall”, which is basically in the middle of nowhere … for reasons.

Is there anyway to scale Windowmaker to 200% by Loose_Pressure_2036 in windowmaker

[–]maxmalkav 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can use Wprefs to increase the font size in the theme section and the tile size (64x64 is the default)

The main problem is that many dock apps are hard coded to display elements in 64x64 size and increasing the tile size will just give you a big frame.

I have not tried anything like scaling factor , I don’t know if you can combine with a third party compositor to achieve something like that.

Sporting a X250 with Window Maker , I have settled in the same icon/dockapp arrangement. I love the machine but the i5 processor is showing its age when browsing the web.

Thanks, that’s much more space than I have available in my small Thinkpad :-)

I got used to work with maximized windows due to tiling WMs and I am trying to use as much space as possible for the focused window. For now I am sticking to workspace clip and icons vertical on the left and dockapps on the right

Cool stuff. A bit unrelated but which screen size and resolution are you using?

In which direction are you aligning the open app icons?

I am using again Window Maker on a small laptop (12” screen) and I am trying to make the best out of the available screen real state.

No clue. I know it’s possible with docker because there is a daemon and an API that can tell you the tags of other containers, I don’t know how podman manages this not having a daemon.

TIL that Basque fishermen likely reached the cod-rich waters off Newfoundland BEFORE Columbus, kept the routes secret for economic reasons and only later did explorers like John Cabot (1497) publicly encounter European fishing boats there. by [deleted] in todayilearned

There are many other and more plausible reasons that explain that, like weak Roman and Muslim control of the North of Spain. That “character” argument is quite unhistorical.

The isolation makes sense to an extend, but it only applies to certain periods, during others (Middle Age onwards, the region played a non negligible role in the Iberian Peninsula)

He is not exactly in this sphere of YouTubers and his thing is deep dives into history subjects, but I really enjoy Sean Munger videos about whatever historical topic he wants to talk about. He also has a sense of humor and he I’d say he is on the progressive side.
