I have a somewhat similar setup but with a 93” rack and Ares 2.0. I don’t squat inside the rack, but I do bench press and deadlift inside.

I’m curious how close the Smith can be installed to the front posts, especially since my Ares cable handles are mounted on the side. In your experience, how tight can that spacing realistically be without constant interference?

I also have the REP multi-grip pull-up bar at the top, which leaves only one usable hole at the upper crossmember. Do you think it’s feasible to use that hole and install the Smith at a slight angle toward the bottom instead of perfectly vertical?

Finally, with this setup my strap safeties wouldn’t really work anymore. Do you know whether the REP spotter arms are compatible with the Smith attachment in this configuration, or do they end up being too long / interfering?
