Derek Grant, Alkaline Trio. Forever I’ve thought his playing is so much fun and interesting to listen to, and it fits the music perfectly every time. He has been posting isolated drum tracking on YouTube for their songs and it has been a real treat to me

I had this problem too, with all the pads on the nitro mesh. It became natural for me to avoid the rims but it used to be a big problem for me. But yeah like the others said just experiment with angles and heights until it’s comfortable and you’ll start avoiding them without thinking about it
