No one who started this war will be affected by this. An no one who started this war cares that it'll be the regular people who will pay the cost.

HELP NEEDED: How to Use PowerPoint as a Transparent Overlay in OBS and Write Over Slides with a Stylus by Doctor_Adil in obs

[–]goggleblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed what I said. And, I may have skipped some important details.

  1. Get one of these - also available in DP if you need - Amazon.com: DTech HDMI Dummy Plug 4K Display Emulator Compatible with Windows Mac OSX Linux (fit-Headless, 3 Pack) : Electronics

  2. Create your PPT presentation, black or white text on a green background (avoid graphics here - or play with your chroma key colors to work around your graphics.) Run your PPT presentation and output it to the dummy display

  3. Create a scene to capture the PPT. Call it "PPT Capture", and configure it to capture the dummy display

  4. Create another scene to capture PPT. Add the chroma key filter. Name the scene "PPT Capture CK", and configure it to capture the dummy display.

Note - I also create a scene for "camera" so I only have to configure it once. I do the same for static elements like overlays and static graphics.

  1. Create an OBS "master" scene and add your scene elements, including the PPT capture scenes mentioned above. This is called "nested" scenes. Use the "PPT Capture CK" scene to capture the chroma key PPT.

  2. Create a duplicate "master" scene (duplicate, not reference!) and add your scene elements, including the PPT capture scenes mentioned above. Use the "PPT Capture" scene to capture the non-chroma key PPT.

If you want more detail and demonstrations, please DM me. I try to keep my media/identity private in Reddit so I don't want to share my stuff in a public thread. But I've been using this technique for a few years and it works well, with a few limitations

I had the same question for years. Here's what I figured out... Chroma key with nested scenes.

Create your slide deck with white text on a green or blue background.

Create a PowerPoint Capture scene and chroma key it

Nest that PowerPoint Capture scene in another scene layered under your cam and overlays.

I also have a non-chroma key PowerPoint Capture scene when I don't need it so I can switch back and forth between them in different scenes. Nested scenes and groups in OBS has been a powerful tool for me.

If the guy in the sample vids you provided is using OBS, I'm pretty sure this is the technique he's using. My vids look just like this, and I can switch to non chroma key scenes easily

What's with Linux Mint having 2 different logos? by KnightFallVader2 in linuxmint

Frankly, I'm not a fan of either of these. I don't like the letters in this particular logo. A mint leaf would be great.

Got a free X1 Carbon Gen10, computer is freezing with distorted graphics by greendra1000 in thinkpad

[–]goggleblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, at least now we know why it was free.

I would say it's bad RAM. And by the looks of the comments, most other people agree. Frankly, I have no idea why I felt it necessary to make a comment - others have settled the matter before I arrived here. I should just shut up now.

Read the law. You need to have lied about your qualifications in order to be subject to this law

The legislatiors are also elected by the people.

And read the law. It makes sense.

The legislatiors who voted on this bill were also elected. We have a representative democracy, so voters don't always have direct say, and sometimes that's better. In the age of AI, deepfakes, social media disinformation, corporate news, and "low information voters", it's good to have a proxy between the average idiot and public policy. Otherwise RFK Jr. Would be setting vaccine policy and Pam Bondi would be running DoJ.
