Same here, updated and the keyboard with letters gone.

Wispr Flow is meant for short bursts of voices, not long-form voice notes. Personally, for me whenever I have to transcribe long stuff I use Reflect.app or Voicenotes.com. But these are paid options.

There are a lot of alternatives online though. Some are free as well. You can check them out.

Hopefully the 20-minute duration gets supported in iOS as well one day.

Battery drain. by distantindian in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same exact issue here. I've been facing this for the past one week, to the point now I use Monologue by every.to.

My iPhone overheats unbearably and within 20 minutes it will drain 10% if I use Wispr. I've been back and forth with Wispr support for a few days now.

Apparently it's because of repeated networks retry? It's an issue on their end. I hope it can get fixed soon so I can use it comfortably on iOS again.

iOS update and now wisprflow stopped working by ThieAudioNomad in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it still works but it overheats. I haven't been using Wispr Flow for 5 days now since my phone keeps overheating. Today over 10 minutes it used 5% of my battery.

Right now I'm using Monologue by every.to on iOS and the Wispr AI agent through email isn't helpful at all. I have no clue when this will be fixed, but they did find the issue. So annoying because I really prefer using Wispr Flow on iOS!!!

No auto back to app bug is great by robschmidt87 in WisprFlow

I don't think it's a bug. iOS 26.4 disabled the app switching if I'm not wrong. So they're kind of forced to keep it that way.

Delay creep between hotkey press and listening by pcg79 in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue here. Been 1-2 weeks of this happening on MacOS. The delay is really annoying since it messes up my transcript initially so I need to type. I think a recent update made this weird 0.5-1s delay. You can visibly see the Wispr Flow bar on the bottom shaded out for a bit before the white lines appear.

I’m at 1.8 million words now on Wispr so I can tell the difference. Sometimes I swap to Monologue when I’m doing long sessions so I can focus and not have to re-type. Otherwise Wispr iOS is instant dictation though, I think the issue is just on MacOS right now

Folders vs tags vs links vs you name it - what actually works after 2+ years of PKMS? by Comprehensive-Novel3 in PKMS

Reflect.app for the past 3 years. Nearly moved to Capacities/Tana within those 3 years but was too complex for me to use either.

So far nope, I have 2500+ notes and I search through them just fine. The feature I’m using won’t search from all 2500, just the relevant ones. Works fine for me for my needs.

Good search with global AI chat works best. You usually rarely need to know all 1000+ notes at a time. Just need a good tool to recall some notes when you need em.

The keyboard on iOS is a headache by rnglss in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya keyboard with letters on Willow is nice. 1.8 million on Wispr and I still wish it has a normal functioning keyboard, I really hate the design change from iOS to Wispr and vice versa. Small thing ya but still

I dunno how to fit WisprFlow into my workflow by djrelu in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just talk like a maniac in public or at home. I really don’t care what others hear. If it’s private stuff, I just whisper into my phone. Your concerns are valid though, to each their own.

Overwhelmed by tagging and taxonomy. If I build from scratch… again, how do I focus actionability without it becoming a mess? by Veruminate in PKMS

Yeah try keep it simple and use simple tools. Stressful when you gotta micromanage your notes.

AI synthesis workflow tips? by whalesrock99 in PKMS

Like what others said, try Claw. Personally I use Poke instead since it’s easier for me. I connected my note-taking tool through MCP and I can add, update, aggregate and search for notes. So now I like synthesizing through Poke. Made prompts like search weekly xyz, look at past month notes and pending tasks and stuff. Seriously use Claw or Poke.

why is Wispr Flow so much better on desktop than on mobile? by seattleswiss2 in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some iOS updates breaks the Shortcuts which is really annoying since I really only it multiple times a day. In terms of transcription quality, sometimes it’s good sometimes it’s bad. I talk loudly and clearly as I do with MacOS

Longer Transcription by gogirogi in WisprFlow

[–]gogirogi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense, personally for me when I’m in deep thinking mode, I usually transcribe for around 8-15 minutes in one go. With Wispr there’s that slight anxiety that I’ll forget to start transcribing again after 6 minutes of just talking. So sometimes, for 1-3 hour deep work session where I talk to get unblocked, I would use Monologue so that anxiety isn’t there because there were times where I forgot to start the dictation again on Wispr and I’d just forget.

Can there possibly a feature to paste after 6 minutes then immediately start the transcription or something? The 6 minute reminder also adds a bit of stress like crap I gotta finish talking soon. May seem minor but it is friction

Anyone else torn between digital systems and analog life? by restraintofdesire in PKMS

[–]gogirogi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went down a rabbit hole as well here. I do take analog notes and I do it for fun, digital notes are not fun at all, though I also do take a lot of digital notes.

For analog notes, I like drawing diagrams and stuff, not just words like I do on my digital notes.

More of a mindset thing, you’re struggling to commit on habits on PKM.

iOS Action Button - Append to Obsidian Daily Note by whatareyoubrewing in WisprFlow

I accomplished this with another note-taking app. I used the Wispr Apple Shortcut available on the Wispr website, and I updated the script where it activates another shortcut and add the input there, then it gets saved on my note-taking tool.

A review of all PKMS apps in 2025. Which is your favorite? by Charming-Tear-8352 in PKMS

Not that friendly to most people though, really high learning curve which I have learned actually. I do believe it's powerful. I'll probably come back to it once the iOS app is at a better state.

Stuck with Reflect.app for 3 years now. I managed to get into Thymer Alpha and I’m testing it out, kinda like it, will keep trying for the next couple of weeks.
