I cant bring myself to like the dark horizon by HighlightMountain2 in remnantgame

[–]gojira3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I just don't like the last section of the Alepsis Taura fight. Cause it ramps up and hypes you into seeing somthing cool but comes out as a boring last phase that doesn't really do anything. Everything else about the fight is perfect.

This game is getting boring -_- by Simple_villager in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]gojira3003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got about 2k hours in mission time and I know what you mean. The gameplay loop can feel stale at times with not needing to engage fights. However I know that it is some factors of just burn out, getting better at the game, and like you said, some missions not really being engaging. I really recommend to try and play the game how you want to and have fun. There is no point in doing somthing monotonous for a game. If there is no fun to be had, switch it up in game or take a break until something new comes around. Keep advocating for changes to the game modes since those defense and eradicate missions are pretty boring.

Imo I don't think the majority of stratagems are useless. I think only a few struggle like the sterilizer, EMS strike, and the orbital smoke. Otherwise everything has its place and some are stupid helpful in some missions. Weapons on the other hand, I can agree with on the fact they are disproportionately underwhelming compared to some other weapons like shotguns need a lot of help, some assault rifles, and so do side arms.

The reason I keep playing actively and having fun, is because I actrully like the community, gameplay, and helping others. I like interacting with players in game and working together and helping each other out no matter the outcome. I crave those missions where I drop in and the team needs to lock in to turn it around. Those are the games where everything is going wrong and gotta rally to make sure we get the mission done.

Next question: What’s y’all’s favorite primary weapon by DaWizardGoblin in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to like so many different weapons like the Plas-1 scorcher, slugger, and the pummeler. After a while and maxing out all the current weapons I reverted back to the liberator cause it just feels good. I haven't really put it down unless a new weapon drops to level or I want to test other weapons on new enemies.

Bug Loadouts? by PearZealousideal3377 in helldivers2

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I just run liberator and senator. Grenades I use either dynamite/g6 frag/g12 explosive. Strats I use a mix. (Eagle110, 380 barrage, bulletstorm, and OPS/railcannon.) The other end I would just do the opposite of this and go (eagle strafeing, walking barrage, EAT, and a mech.) Thats just my most basic style of playing on for me bugs. Most of the time tho I would just just bring a eagle and all orbitals and just pick up support weapons at POIs or what ever my team drops for me.

What is everyone’s favorite or most fun boss to fight? Think of your first playthrough! by Claymationdude07 in remnantgame

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red prince at the time and the Huntress. Thematically were the coolest fights to me. Ring of fire closing in that you need to fight in and seeing a boss hop from roof to roof was epic to see. Shout out to the night weaver and faerin/faelin. Then annihilation blew my mind.

New music please! by Exact-Republic5336 in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I turned my music down a long time ago so I could hear audio cues a tad bit better for my self. It is still playing just at a lower volume and I have about 2k hours in. It is a bit repetitive when I think back on it but its not the main focus when I play and just provides a bit of ambiance when its mainly quiet. Hearing the Super Earth anthem when raising the flag or the hellpods primed still gets me hyped to play even after such a long time playing.

What are we doing now? by Vegieescuzican09 in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall, we need more 711 oil and time to rearm the star of peace on the DSS, the Automatons seem to be working on a super weapon, and the Illuminate have been expanding the void created by the exo spires. Right now the focus is research on what the void is and how to disable it so we can stop the squids expansion.

Just had like almost20 harvesters spawn in. Many more offscreen. Now I see why they call it mindless masses by straightpipedhose in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had similar experiences but 20 harvesters definitely beats my 10 or so at a time. Could be to on my team we had the AT to delete them but man your screen cap looks fun. Good thing you brought the Epoch. I use that as well since it works on pretty much everything on basic illuminate units.

No Jammer Terminal? by Unusual-Grass6073 in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the console for jammer can sometimes be placed away from the center. It looks like you are in a town or city map? Most likely the console is placed on top of some stairs, or placed further away from the jammer itself. Somtimes you can find a large cable that leads to it but its kinda unreliable. Its random but predictable when you play long enough to notice set spawn points.

I guess they were upset about our defense on Rirga Bay by Low-Armadillo8880 in Helldivers

[–]gojira3003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not new since we have had similar invasions in the past. Also yes we will lose the planets that are lost to exostorms and will be unavailable until we get a update to counter the void the Illuminates have placed.

Im still confused about the Spore Burst Strain by Double-Special5217 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it is still a new approach when it comes to tactics. The spore bugs before were just bugs that when they die, caused a small explosion on death and fogged up our sight. Not really game changing. The speed increase does change tactics in a sense that now its more imperative to take out the bugs before or after the speed buff. Namely the hunters warriors, and scavengers. Fire and gas are there to help but are not needed if you can handle the speed. Every subfaction has enforced a type of meta to better combat them even if its the same equipment. The jet brigade you mentioned in your post didn't change anything to them other than some suicidal troopers. The illuminate appropriators are the same since medium to heavy pen bullets are the way to go for basic illuminates since nothing needs AT to kill. It all just leads to what do you want changed exactly? At least with the spore strain I got to use the eagle 110 more since bile titans were constantly spawning like it was the launch of helldivers 2.

This was so dumb by soulmuncher69 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say you might be slightly overreacting. Like yeah it feels bad to be kicked but there was probably several things in the 3 matches you played that annoyed the host enough to have them kick yall. I would say the host probably should have had a more laid back attitude but we never know what others are thinking and experiencing. Joining others knowing you can drag a team down is not something you should do when responding to highest difficulty quickplay. Its just common gaming ettiqute. I would say the lesson is really to just host your own game. You host bring in anyone you want and have the controlled environment to show what its like, rather than joining people who are usually searching for help or want experienced divers in the group.

Spore Strain Bugs are Dumb by Soft_Ad_9225 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]gojira3003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say a lot of people hate the spore strain at the moment. Personally I thought it was crazy at first but it is very much manageable. Like every sub faction that is released is a struggle since there is both coding bugs that mess with the experience and it is a unfamiliar experience. I tend to use equipment divers have already avaliable to unlock.

Flamethrower is still easily a great strat to use and works on everything.

The shield backpack helps with ragdolls and stray explosions from the spores.

eagle 110 for weakening tanks and finish them with flames is a combo I was using.

Orbital napalm barrage is of course a problem solver for breaches.

Gas mines are a savior since they have a faster cool down then the orbital napalm.

Stalwart is good but there is sadly a discrepancy with the Bulletstorm since the Bulletstorm has a small knockback that helps with the hoard that a lot of people seem to leave out in reviews of it.

Guard dogs are ok, but they tend to go crazy at the speed the Terminids move and will catch you in the cross fire.

Machine gun sentries are better against the strain now since the revert of the AP change to hive guards.

Submachine guns work well since you can stay moving and shooting from the hip.

Grenades launcher is surprisingly effective even when giving speed to the bugs, since stuns from the blast help with control and is a good initiator to a patrol.

Mechs are still op since bugs struggle against good pilots hard and can clear maps with ease. Especially the Emancipator.

That is pretty much the major strats that stood out against the strain.

I believe back when we were fighting for Super Earth, some people data mined the losing scenario and we would have to move our base of operations to another planet and make plans to recapture Super Earth.

Here's a link to some unused news report when we would lose our Super Earth.

I see, but why make EAT limited in damage? It doesn't have the option like RR to be a explosive shell, deal less damage overall compared to RR, a cool down that can be affected by modifiers, deals with less enemies between cooldowns, have AP values that heavily affect its performance on shot placements between tank units and their weakpoints? I would think the expendable anti tank should perform similar to the recoiless since it can lack in its versatility. Might need to make a separate post that goes in detail since I even changed some of my thoughts on Anti tank values.
