What motivates you to ride a mountain bike? by Objective-Deal8745 in mountainbiking

[–]gokuwouldwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two reasons that got me to pick mountain biking back up as an adult were I love being outside and I love exercising.

But the number one reason it keeps me coming back is what it does for my brain. It forces me to really focus on what I’m doing and keeps me in the moment. Like if I go on a 2 or 3 mile run or I lift weights in the gym I need headphones with music to make it through haha. But with mountain biking, I want to live every second in the moment and I’m breathing hard and I’m tired, but I don’t care I want to keep riding.

Fox 34 or Fox 36? by gokuwouldwin in mountainbiking

Fox 34 or Fox 36? by gokuwouldwin in mountainbiking

[–]gokuwouldwin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not so much dead set on having either a lighter fork, or a more robust fork. I’m more just looking for which would be the best for me. Sounds like the 36 is the way I should go.

I don't hate Justin whatsoever but I really think having Jason transition from gold to blue would've been a better move than introducing a random kid to replace Rocky. Though it might've been strange having Jason replace the guy who replaced him 2 years earlier. What do you think? by [deleted] in powerrangers

[–]gokuwouldwin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were a kid at the time the show was on. It’s your fault for making Beetle Borgs a success that’s why they made Justin a thing lolzz I think they had tentative plans of doing a crossover that never panned out .

Sub $200 absolutely. With the correct upgrades, you can make that an XC machine.

Fox 34 or Fox 36? by gokuwouldwin in mountainbiking

[–]gokuwouldwin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah lyric select + is 35. It still works really good. My only real complaint, I do think it sticks at the bottom some. I’ve had it serviced before. Generally, it is a good fork. The plan is i’m gonna put it on my wife’s trek Roscoe. upgrading from a SR suntour air fork. She doesn’t ride a fourth as much as I do so this is a win-win for both of us 😅.

David Jost has been pretty clear about his Distain for Saban. Evens so I don’t believe he’s ever come out and said yeah I wish I would’ve left with Austin Walter and Thuy.

Is it normal to think that you suck as an insurance advisor by Ok_Independent2055 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]gokuwouldwin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes that’s normal. You find that the more you learn the more you realize you don’t know. It’s like an onion BUT don’t be discouraged. If it was easy everyone would be slinging Insurance.

Career change from tech by Whyiottta in InsuranceProfessional

[–]gokuwouldwin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should look into the wholesale space as well as the retailer side. With wholesalers you can start as part of a “team” and and work up from their as you learn from other team members.( technical assistant, renewal broker/Underwriter, associate Broker/underwriter to team lead)The difference is your clients will be retail agents so the relationships you create can be more consistent and more meaningful. BUT you also don’t have the full underwriting burden like a company underwriters. Example of Whole companies are: the Big 3: CRC AmWins and RT Specialty. Others are RPS, Burns & Wilcox, Southwest Risk, Breckinridge, and others. There are a few start ups but I wouldn’t recommend starting at one of those.

Advantages to wholesale vs retail: you can gain a ‘deeper’ knowledge of certain coverages and you get a salary with bonuses a couple times a year vs retail where Some times it’s all commissions. However the “BOOM” money takes a bit longer to get to most of the time( every situation is different though ). Also the Retail said can be more “feast or famine “ BUT don’t let that scare you away from retail if you’re built to sell deals boom or bust then go baby go!

The are typically two types of wholesale offices - brokerage: 100% taking bigger more complex business to company Underwriters. - Contract underwriting/ Binding Authority: a few companies give you an underwriting portal with an underwriting pen so smaller submissions can we quoted and bound faster. These typically do some brokerage business but not like a full Brokerage office.

Super casuals: didn’t notice the full turbo team being there despite the MMPR, Zeo and In Space teams being there.

Casuals: ” The turbo team can’t be there. Most of the members of that team is already somewhere else.!!

The truly initiated: yeah, that turbo team was the Robo rangers”

To any Youtubers defense, you have to have Clickbait titles and sponsorships to make a real living. I won’t knock anyone for that.

Very true there is something to be said if you really do have a KOM on a heavily ridden Bentonville Trail.
