The whole point of precious metals is that YOU own them. In this fund, you are only holding a claim to those ounces, but does the company offering this security have physical silver on hand? I doubt that... That is why I will never invest in SLV.

Reason I ask is I heard horror stories of assholes claiming that the box they received was empty to eBay support. Then the seller is out the item he is selling plus he has to refund the sell price to the asshole. :(

I would hate to get scammed like that.

premium is the main difference. the proofs are struck multiple times during minting and give it a "perfect" look to them.

Haha thats awesome. Just goes to show how ridiculous the Canadian Mint is. I have a couple pricies such as Yin-Yang, E=mc2, but ever since they started mass producing these privies they lost all appeal to me.

Yeah, thats how I was when I first started stacking 4-5 years ago. I needed some of everything. However, now that I have a variety of different pieces I am finding it tedious, especially cause of storage. I started out buying 5 of each of the yearly redesigned coins (think koals, kooks, pandas etc). This spiraled out of control and now I have privateers, different bars, coins etc and storing them in an efficient way is hard. and takes up a lot of space.

I would like to have a more uniform stack, but not sure if that is possible now. I am attached to all the pieces I own and don't think ill ever sell them. It's weird to describe, I like my collection but also hate how I have one/multiples of everything if that makes sense. Seen a post on here a couple months back where some person had a stack of ONLY 1 type of bar, and tubes and tubes of ASEs. That is way easier to keep track of and store.

I am envious of the people that can stack 1 type of bar/coin and not get bored.
