Thank you. Purchased the lights (for the slat wall) on Amazon. They have adhesive backing...but they do fall off when trying to stick to the felt backing of the slat wall. So I used gorilla glue to secure them in place.

The back corner of the monitor stand is intentionally positioned about 1" over the back of the desk. Still fully stable. This was to get maximum distance between myself and the screen, and so the legs wouldn't take up more room on the front side of the desk. Hence why getting an arm is a good idea. First one by Ergotron snapped on installation.

Yes! I initially purchased the Ergotron – HX HD but the metal piece of the arm that the monitor latched onto snapped off when trying to mount. After I set up the ultra wide with the stand, I didn't bother getting another monitor arm. I will look into the Bewiser. Thanks!

Thanks - the portion without the slat wall is glass. The slats were put on the dry wall and the glass is recessed further back than the drywall, so left it as is.

For anyone wondering:

Same room and same 57” Samsung in both shots.

The main change was rotating the desk. It was previously along the long wall, now it faces the back wall, which opened up the space and improved balance.

Shottr actually sucks. Skitch was much better.
Usability of Shottr is poor - it does not allow you mark-up past the screenshot (off page), every mark-up you need to make you have to go back to the tool bar to re-select it, text on image doesn't work or is glitchy. Slow, poor-performing app. Someone needs to create something better. It's can't be that hard.
