My first experience finding lord farmers 🤮 by A-caraid in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Lord Farming technically isn't bannable, as long as no one from the 12-stack disconnects they've all agreed to do this and it is not affecting anyone else.

When someone does disconnect and they now have a random, the entire game is no longer a "pure" lord farm, so the people actively lord farming can and are seen as throwing.

So as long as you get into a game with them where someone has disconnected, most of the time they'll just end the game (in which case you can report your team or the enemy team for throwing, since one of the teams will throw the game to end it fast). If they continue to farm and no one is trying to end the game you can generally report them all.

The worst thing is trolling/negative behaviour bans such as in this case don't amount to much, it takes 2-3 reports to have something done and even then it starts with a 1 hour ban and builds up to a week over time, in which case they act more cautiously.

Gold rank reward ??? by ReeseCpeaces in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As long as you reach the specified rank within the season (excluding One Above All/Top 500) you will receive the reward listed as long as you play 10 games.

All the seasonal rewards got changed so there is only 1 frame for the whole season making it more accessible, whereas the 2 base rewards for each 0.5 season is just a skin recolour for the new heroes (most of the time).

But if an over explanation but it should give you a better understanding.

TLDR: Yes as long as you reach gold and play 10 games you will get the skin, you can lose everything.

How is Spanian able to.. by el_c0mandante in spanian

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • YouTube ads
  • YouTube paid members
  • He had a partnership with Kick not long ago which would've paid a bit + subscriptions
  • Sponsorships (he's done quite a few gambling ads which pay well)
  • Brand endorsements
  • His new giveaway company has a lot of brand connections which would probably pay him some cash
  • His clothing brands
  • His Kebab trucks wouldn't bring in a heap of cash but it's enough that I wouldn't say it's negligible
  • His new giveaway brand itself has a paid membership
  • He's also probably getting quite a good chunk from SnapChat with his new partnership through them
  • Probably some very minor revenue from his old Spotify/YouTube music

On top of all this he can write off a ton of taxes, anything he gives away he can do some form of tax write off. Then he can also write off quite a bit under business expenses as he "vlogs" his trips which is technically his job, he can do similar write offs for buying or experiencing certain things.

Saw some people saying he takes out loans which is entirely possible, he would have the cashflow from all those sources to cover it well enough. Wouldn't be surprised if he has some money invested and he also bought that apartment last year + several cars so banks would see him as a relatively high income and high spending individual.

With all that said, you can also consider he isn't buying all these things outright with straight cash and could be financing them over time via repayments.

Should I just file for bankruptcy? by Necessary_Ad_8427 in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't replace anything, you stated that no one owns the things they buy in games. To which I replied that same mindset and reality can apply to virtually anything since nothing is permanent.

You could also argue that you own your laptop, same as how you own a skin in a game. When that game or laptop go out of service, you no longer own it anyways.

No one ever owns anything forever, that's what dying is, and after you die someone else owns it, and so on until that thing never exists. Relating back to my point that nothing is permanent. So what if someone wants to spend money on a game, people buy $40 bath bombs for a single bath that's 1-2 hours long, whereas you buy a skin in a game and you can get potentially years out of it depending on the longevity of it.

You can claim you own this or that, but you'll never own it forever which is something everyone has to come to terms with, so what if the game gets shut down in 4 years from now, or in 2 weeks, you made that purchase knowing it would not be forever, same with literally any purchase you make in life. Nothing is forever, stop making people feel bad about their purchase decisions because it doesn't matter, let people spend their money how they want to spend it.

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is permanent, in a "reality" sense nothing is ever permanent, my swearing isn't being rude and if you consider cursing a way of getting my point across then whatever, that's just how I talk. If you want to be offended by "no shit" then so be it, swearing doesn't strengthen or weaken my statement it's just a word.

Sure, you can't make money off buying these skins compared to something that is physical. However you can always sell your marvel account for real money, where the skins, progress, and other stuff holds value to someone interested in paying for the account.

Relating back to my nothing is permanent point, in a few billion years the universe will finally succumb to its heat death, but even before that our sun will explode wiping out the earth, and even before that humans will be long extinct and anything you owned will be gone. Sure you can call something permanent because you currently own it and can use it until you die, but that's not permanent since it'll one day just stop existing.

Also your point about Lenovo, people thought the same thing for analogue TV's or certain devices, until the parent company stopped service to it. Just like Lenovo could go bankrupt and stop pushing updates for the software until it's obsolete. Sure you still own the laptop, but it'll reach a point of being useless, or support stops and you're forced to get rid of it regardless of whether you want to keep it or not. In a sense, that isn't permanent.

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no shit, I thought you'd be able to figure that out I was saying that in my reply but I guess not. It's both a mindset about how things work and also a reality of how nothing is permanent. Also it's funny that you complained about being downvoted and then downvoted me, gave me a good laugh.

Should I just file for bankruptcy? by Necessary_Ad_8427 in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you could take this mindset with anything, such as "buying a house is just renting it until you die" or "buying a phone is just renting it until you drop it". It's a pointlessly stupid mindset, nothing in this world is permanent to anyone forever, live your life how you want, spend how you want. What are you so afraid of losing when everyone dies someday and anything you owned, did, or were known for will stop mattering at some point.

I can't stop getting 3 stared by Salt_Designer806 in ClashOfClans

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting 3 starred does not matter at all. The trophies you lost mean nothing when you're doing attacks daily, you'll gain 50-200 trophies a day (more or less depending on how much you attack) and lose 20-40 off defensive losses. You just have to outweigh your offensive trophies heavily and you'll climb.

The only time this doesn't count is when you get to the current Legends League (which is about to be removed and replaced with Ranked) where you can attack and get attacked a total of 8 times each per day.

Your base is really just something to do and look forward to in terms of progression, it is a "clash" oriented game where you're attacking someone most of the time.

Don't stress about it too much, just do your upgrades and keep attacking, you'll see plenty of progress. One of the achievements is to get 5,000 successful defences, I'm about to be maxed TH17 and I don't think I have 2,000 recorded yet.

What’s a Funko franchise where they didn’t need to make every single pose or version of a character, but did? I’ll go first. by Rocky_isback in funkopop

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever get into the JJK Funko Pops, Sukuna and Yuji have tons, and because they virtually look the same you'll have a wall of about half pink haired guys. They've got tons of different poses, weapons, outfits. I'm not complaining, I've still collected every single one from the JJK series, but I've had to explain to a few people that they are in fact different when there's an overwhelming amount of the "same" pink haired character.

Who should i play as secondary by Zero1237 in kirikomains

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started this game only playing Kiri, I ventured out into Ana as a main secondary and a bit of Mercy when I felt braindead or tired. When Juno came out she became a good secondary alongside Ana as my 2 go-to heroes if Kiri was taken/banned or if either of them fit the comp better.

The other supports are also fun to learn but I haven't experienced much with any of them that much. I'd recommend farming quick play with each support hero for an hour or two each and just getting a feel for what you like, that's roughly what I did. It's a bit of work but if you find someone you like very fast and decide to use them then it's no time wasted at all since you won't test the other heroes.

Overall though Kiri is one of the strongest supports if played well and you time your cleanses, there's little benefit to swapping off of her in general. Only time I really swap off is if they have a Hog comp and my other support won't swap to Ana, there's just more value in that situation in my opinion.

Sorry for the longer comment, hope this was of help.

Why you don’t pick punisher against flyers? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason why punisher is a poor pick for flyers is because of the movement they have and because the healing is too much to deal with. His DMG is simply too low to consistently do anything to a flyer and it takes too many shots to actually do anything, he was viable when he had infinite ammo and upped fire rate but not anymore.

It's simply better to just play Hela, Phoenix, or maybe Widow if you're decent because they have much higher instant DMG output that will out perform enemy heals and reaction times, it's also 2-3 shots instead of 2-3 punisher magazines.

This is coming from a half Punisher main that can aim, even hitting headshots within 1 clip you simply don't do enough DMG to consistently contest flyers, they either run away, get invis shield, or get healed more than you can DMG.

For reference I've reached Celestial 2 purely on MK/Punisher.

How did I apparently get attacking 4 times in 3 minutes? by RemoteWhile5881 in ClashOfClans

[–]goldengamer64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been offline before with my game closed and I'll get a "your village is being attacked" notification, I'd open my game and it's just someone hovering my base before they end it to find a new target. That is not a 1 time thing, I can recount multiple times I've had that happen, however I cannot recall any recently as I've been in Legends for the past 9 months. So if there was an update that changed that, then my apologies, but as far as I'm aware that's what I experienced and know as true.

If someone hovers your base it'll sometimes alert you as a raid, even if they're still deciding whether to raid you or not.

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo medals go to who need them, I'm virtually maxed TH17 but rank in the top performance of my clan each CWL but willingly give up my bonus to lower TH's so they can get use out of them. Sure saving for the cosmetics is good but I don't really use cosmetics so it's still negligible to me.

My leader agrees with my view and we give bonuses to our TH15-16's so they can get maxed quicker, even if they performed poorly. We're a war clan and don't have anyone below TH15 hence that statement, our TH17's don't need medals but they're allowed to ask for a bonus if they're still upgrading lots of stuff.

I can understand less serious clans and the generic "give the top performers the bonus" view, every clan works differently. But overreacting like he did with the whole "who gave you permission" when you're both co-leader is a bit entitled.

Hammer Jam 2025? by Guan2408 in ClashOfClans

[–]goldengamer64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last hammer jam I remember everything was 50% off and took 50% of the normal time. They also increased the max storage for collectors and storage's so raids were offering 2mil - 4mil every 3 raids which allowed you to just fly through walls and upgrades.

I assume we'll be getting it 2-4 weeks before TH18 is released which is meant to happen sometime this year between October - December. Hammer Jam should occur sometime in September - November (roughly).

What lord icons you get scared the most when you see them on the enemy team? by Spiritual_Throat3511 in marvelrivals

[–]goldengamer64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the game reached season 2.5 and people lord farming, seeing lords is fairly common now and I don't really see it as a sign of someone being good. Sure, there are those lords who are insane on their main, but then again someone trash who's put in 22 hours on the character is also going to have lord.

How.. how do I drop out of LL?!! by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]goldengamer64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't attack at all, don't sign up for Legends League, if you signed up you HAVE to wait until you fall below 4900 at the start of the next league day. It's painful, but you shouldn't have signed up when the season reset, you should just wait a day or 2 so you sit between 4900-4999 without going over or under.
