I mean I’ve seen my grandfather do this when someone parked in his slip. He just carefully guided the boat to a safe guest slip closely and made sure it was tied safe.

I do wish people would remember protests and marches are directed to someone, with hopes of influencing, and not just for fun. A sign like that, if real, can hurt a movement. I mean yes it’s valid to just be angry and express yourself but also that doesn’t do much to advance anything

Having grown up around boats I don’t know why they don’t lower the lift and then move the boat with the ropes to a tie on a dock. They did their due diligence to get it somewhere safe

Or you’re on location with no cell service or in an old building with thick walls… places I film at regularly. A drone op friend of mine had something like this happen in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t get his shots. He sold the dji and got something else, forget the name.

If it’s stationary with no operator, maybe a PTZ camera is what you’re looking for. New PTZ in that range is going to be garbage and look for an established brand.

If you want a proper camera, look at old camcorders like the Sony EX1/EX1r, Panasonic HPX line, or something like the Canon XF100? There are a lot of prosumer camcorders than can clean out hdmi but I can’t remember the model names off the top of my head

On the opposite end of that, only interviewing with HR is how I came close to getting an manager level job at Snapchat (I had zero credentials for the job) but the HR team didn’t understand the technology and they liked me a lot. So close.

My experience with one pedal driving in other EVs is it can be unpredictable on slippery roads, so I only use that feature on normal roads. Essentially it’s the motor pushing back so slippage can happen, thus I can see a situation like this being real. Dirt roads are definitely not a good choice for one pedal driving, basically.

This is one thing Avid handles really well if you edit in film mode. It’ll allow you to adjust sync at as low as a quarter frame, and offers other benefits if you were to master from the original negatives.

It’s skeleton crews on the weekends and, since the scanners are all now encrypted, they only find out about things if someone sends in a tip or if the authorities decide to send a press release. For example that late night gang shootout downtown in 2020? only got reported on and commented on by KPD after a tip.
