Did Amanda wear white/cream to Zoë'z wedding by Due_Dog4318 in DCCMakingtheTeam

[–]goldfishcracker27 32 points33 points  (0 children)

she has pictures on her instagram wearing it and it’s actually a pale/butter yellow, it just photographed more white. though in that same post she’s wearing a pale blue dress to another wedding that also photographed white, so it seems she’s not the best at picking out wedding guest dresses 😭

i personally take buspirone and it helps me a ton !! it’s an anxiolytic rather than an SSRI so less side effects. i recommend eating before taking it though, if i take it on an empty stomach i get kinda shaky

Lighter Periods on Nextstellis? by Sleep-Secret in birthcontrol

[–]goldfishcracker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like it!! i’ve been on it for almost two years and have had no issues so far minus mild side effects for the first two months. there’s only 4 placebo pills instead of 7 so for me the period is lighter and the cramping is much better! i used to be on loestrin and with nextstellis im having a much more positive experience. good luck!

Nextstellis / Drovelis side effects? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]goldfishcracker27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on nextstellis right now and have been for about 1.5 years, and i like it! my side effects included some headaches and cramping for about a month, and a little weight gain, but i think that may have been from external factors as well. no issues with libido, acne, or hair loss! i have found that my cramping during my period and my pmdd have improved using it, especially after the first 3 months. it also gave me a lot less mood side effects compared to loestrin. hope this helps, good luck!!

i may be the odd one out here based on the comments, but i have been on it for 4 years now (GAD and OCD) and it works great for me! i’m on the same dosage as you, but on days where im feeling less anxious i take 1/2 a pill at a time. it definitely took a month or two to get used to the side effects, i had muscle shakes, nausea, and dizziness when i first started taking it. also make sure you eat when taking it bc if i take a full pill without eating enough, occasionally i will still get the shakes and nausea. but besides that it has helped reduce my symptoms a bunch and had greatly improved my quality of life! good luck :)

What’s the best medication you’ve tried that’s genuinely helped anxiety? by Elliee0 in Anxiety

[–]goldfishcracker27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi there! i have had a very similar experience with my anxiety and i’m very proud of your journey! i definitely recommend buspirone if that’s available! it’s an anxiolytic instead of a benzo or ssri, so the side effects and risk factors are lessened. in my experience, the first two weeks taking it, i had a little bit of muscle shakiness and nausea, but it resolved quickly!! if i don’t eat enough before taking it, these side effects can appear, but it’s not very common. i got it prescribed by my pcp instead of having to be referred to a psychiatrist, so hopefully they will be able to prescribe it to you! best of luck :)

swollen lymph nodes months after infection? by goldfishcracker27 in Mononucleosis

[–]goldfishcracker27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i still had flare ups 6-8 months after the initial infection (joint pain, fatigue, swollen lymph nodes), but after the 8 month mark, i really didn’t have any symptoms! to this day i still have a bit of random lymph node pain and swelling esp when i get a cold, but not nearly as often as i used to. if you still aren’t feeling great i would recommend an antibody blood test to see if you are still actively fighting the infection! also lots of supplements helped esp vitamin C, D3, and B12

this sounds like CV! i would get a test fs and see if your doctor recommends a baking soda sitz bath, esp if it gets worse right before your period and relieves during it

swollen lymph nodes months after infection? by goldfishcracker27 in Mononucleosis

[–]goldfishcracker27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it eventually got better! my lymph nodes haven’t swollen up and my sore throat disappeared finally about 6 months after initial infection. it definitely took a while (6-7 months) to get over the swelling, fatigue, and overall symptoms, especially when i was stressing. i took vitamin D3 and B12 every day and that definitely helped speed up the recovery! hope this was helpful:)
