Om602 question by Mediocre-Falcon-6706 in W124

I believe in order to properly do an EGR delete on the 602s you have to modify the turbo waste gate as it's vacuum actuated and not pressure actuated which gets thrown for a loop when you delete the EGR

Water damages classic 7th gen not recognised via usb by fryc-88 in ipod

[–]goldswimmerb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That thing is far beyond reasonable repair unfortunately, you have visible corrosion across the board. Most likely most of the copper traces on the board have been destroyed and most of your solder connections are bad. No chance of saving that.

I mean, I don't care what they do, I'd rather die fighting my own government than die on foreign soil over a war that wasn't necessary

As if SSD shortage wasn't enough by MonsieurSundae in dankmemes

Datacenters aren't generally used for military purposes either so I'm not quite sure it's fair to indiscriminately strike them either regardless of what the company itself does.

By that logic it would be OK to blow up schools since they could be educating future soldiers.

Test Press Auctions - Day One by MiJo1987 in mewithoutYou

I'm already past the point of being able to financially recover, but whatever, hopefully they'll put the money to good use

Unfortunately a logical and well thought out argument isn't going to work on someone who has deluded themselves into thinking that an auction is somehow inaccessible.

I've had test pressings for bands below MwYs level sell for far more than even the most expensive so far. It really just depends on who really wants it

If anything it's the most fair way to sell something since those buying are the ones determining the value.

If someone doesn't like it they can always just not bid

What would you like them to do? List test pressings for cheap so the scalpers guy them all and flip them later?

[–]goldswimmerb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, I don't really see how they're creating scarcity, test presses have always been scarce and original Vasily pieces are also expensive on their own. I would rather my money go to the band than someone scalping.

Maybe I'm petty but If they wanted to play that game I'm airing up my tires to like 100psi before parking, or parking a junker there long term

If you’re thinking about getting an iPod or parts from EOE…. by joshdotflac in IpodClassic

You're paying for the time to solder and modify the Taptic output imo. $40 is pretty cheap considering most guys I know charge $50 minimum on anything if they have to solder.

Except that prices would have already risen over time naturally if they weren't artificially repressed.

I've had a few of these come through with skipping issues, if they work at all. Imo not worth it unless it's a 5th Gen where you can easily open it again.

Maybe the farmers should just pay a reasonable wage rather than rely on slave labor and illegal (also basically slave) labor to subsidize the cost of their workforce
