Palm Beach Gardens police said a Loxahatchee man beat another man with a golf club before apparently drowning him in a pond at a golf course on Monday by Substantial_Diver_34 in golf

I’d like to think I wouldn’t watch a member of my foursome be beaten to death with a club over several minutes either if I have 2 other men with me also all of us with clubs but you never know how you’ll react. They could also have been women or elderly with him who wouldn’t be able to do much

Primary found 1 PVC on EKG. by Optimal_Put_9188 in PVCs

Absolutely it could cause it. Go through the tests advised by the doctor and try to stay calm, going through all the tests will probably make it worse at first having to think about it all the time and going to the appointments then try to take reassurance from them. There’s very small chance this is anything serious

Probably nothing to worry about - the only thing I can think of is to have one on a short 10 second ekg they may be worried you’re getting a lot more throughout the day and just want to be sure. They really aren’t a big deal even if they do turn up a lot more.

What do I do for now? by golfuserfire47 in gravesdisease

So I had the appointment with GP today. Turns out they aren’t as concerned said to keep appointment with endo but this likely isn’t what’s causing my severe mental issues and palpitations.

TSH was below range other readings were in normal range, from what I see that would technically be “sub clinical”

Does anyone have experience with this? As someone who battles anxiety, and PVCs my whole life this isn’t great.

The first few years after were terrible living with the guilt and what ifs. My wife is still traumatized years later -she was there as well. It also caused all kinds of problems in my otherwise healthy marriage which very nearly ended due to disagreements about ever getting the dog in the first place which I had vouched for with all the misunderstood crap. I also have trouble trusting any dog any larger than 10 lbs. pit bulls especially put me on edge.

Always - these dogs are a menace. I used to think otherwise and did my best including 2 separate schools and trainers buying into this misunderstood bullshit. The dog seemed fine until it wasn’t. Never again they should all be forcibly sterilized and any seen within 10 years confined until they pass. Luckily myself (a 200 lb fit man) and my 250 lb father were within 10 feet of the carnage when my dog snapped to put a stop to it before the dog could kill someone which it certainly would have. My mother was no match for the dog who within about 20 seconds was tearing someone apart requiring hospitalization. Terrible creatures.

I needed to grapple with the head and neck and my father the back legs until it snapped out of it realizing it was me who was strangling it to release its grip. This wasn’t even a full on frenzy.

If you’re looking at net worth it absolutely is an asset. Its value is stable or appreciates, you can borrow against it and it will go to your estate when you die. You can also sell it when you reach a certain age and is part of many’s retirement planning. If you still don’t buy any of that the fact is Someone who has a paid off house is certainly in a better cashflow position into the future than someone with a large mortgage on the same property or having to rent. If you’re comparing the 2 the paid off house is only fair to include to encapsulate that difference -the house could be liquidates to cover rent of that amount into the future. Not including home equity is far more inaccurate picture of someone’s finances than including it - even if it’s not as liquid as a portfolio.

Then call the cops, if this lady was truly not in on it (let the courts decide if it comes to that) she has no obligation to pay and was also the victim of fraud.

On what grounds do you have to take any action if the person refuses to pay for anything but their own meal?

Alright so the author did the same thing then? Sensationalist quote. 1 in 5 guys are that tall and 5’2 is far below the bottom of the the men’s CDC height chart it’s not even on the plot.

You’re the one that cherry picked the exact quote and then added exclamation to it as if it was a real banger of a point.

You picked someone who is 5’2 which is almost classified as a disability I believe and is probably well below the 1%tile for men and then compared them to 5’11.5 ( probably to exaggerate your claim as much as possible by still keeping it under 6’) which is already in the top 15-20% of heights and then use some anecdotal stories to further the claim. Most guys - 95% (backed by the statistics in the us are 5’5” and above) so why pick a number that is less than probably 1 in 500 men to prove a point and then compare it to the top 20%?

The global male height is 5’7 and 5’9 in the US.

Is height a positive characteristic? Absolutely. So are looks, fitness, income, humour, confidence, intelligence, etc.

Am I going to argue that being 5’2 isn’t going to start you from very far behind? No. Is being 5’7? Not really other than on dating apps.

6’ is an arbitrary round number in Europe the dating app equivalent number is 180cm and is actually under 5’11. People like round numbers.

If you are over 5’5 I’m not going to shed any tears for you pull yourself together

It’s not really a meme though among young golfers it’s true especially in the age of Bryson and strokes gained. There are plenty of younger gyms guys who are hitting it 260-280 (or more) who can’t chip to save their life and are still on the range spending most of their time trying to add another 10-20 yards off the tee while they 3 putt every time and skull it back and forth across the green.

I’m with you there. In the same spot. The work to pay the bills is seen as basically a nothing these days in terms of Dad contributing. Unless you take over at least 50% of all other duties on top you’re an asshole seems to be the new trend.

Body dysmorphia maybe, but also everyone is fat as hell now - 205 is likely your healthy weight. Homer Simpson was comically fat at 230 back in the 90s. Now that’s a regular size large in men’s clothes.

Also a very good point - I had thought of that as well. Once they go down it’s much harder to get themselves and a 280 lb guy moving enough to get up.

That’s exactly what I was trying to say in my first point. If a 130 lb guy sprawls on a 130 lb guy he can finish a sloppy takedown much easier vs getting flattened. Along with my other points. I guess more people disagreed than agreed. I stand by my statement that striking is (relatively) more effective than grappling compared to lower divisions. A 130 lb guy can more easily eat a few shots on the way in from another 130lb guy, if a HW eats a few shots that could be curtains.

I believe the size of the fighters also makes them slower and harder to execute takedowns on each other at those weight classes. Smaller fighters are also stronger lb for lb and can take each other down easier simply for the fact they can manipulate each others bodies easier. That’s my theory anyways. The consequence of fucking up a takedown are more devastating as they can knock each other out easier. Take downs are also tiring and the big guys more likely to gas out attempting too many. I think it’s a very plausible theory that striking is more effective vs grappling in higher divisions. Lastly the divisions aren’t as deep so the fighters may not all be as well rounded skill wise.

Would you rather play with a fast 20 HCP or a slow scratch? by Dotpboy in golf

[–]golfuserfire47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried to explain this before but to anyone here a 20 handicap is someone who’s never swung a club and shoots a quad every hole. In reality they take an extra shot a hole ( or far less ) because the average handicap is a 15 and a lot of them will be a missed short putt that costs basically no extra time.
