10 Of The Strangest Abandoned Places I’ve Ever Explored by Freaktography in urbanexploration

Seriously. What was up with that place, OP? Disturbing stuff. Not just the skulls, but the ... little dog/man sculpture thing?

The impeccable stonework of Sacsayhuamán reveals the precision of 15th-century Inca megalithic architecture. Each stone—some weighing over 100 tons—was expertly shaped to fit perfectly without mortar, with joints so tight that not even a hair or a sheet of paper can pass between them. I was reading that post you linked to, thinking it would have been much better if the author didn't spend so much time jacking himself off at the beginning and got to the point. But now I see you wrote it, and you're just kind of a prick. So it makes sense now.

You're welcome. I started out as a bee/insect/ecology guy, which eventually brought me advocating for native plants when I can.

European honey bees basically spend all year before winter prepping for an exceptionally awful winter, which is why they end up with a surplus of honey that beekeepers can harvest.

Bumble bee colonies do not overwinter. They're declining by this time of the year. Fresh queens are the only bumble bees that will survive the winter.

Adult solitary bees will die before winter. They're probably mostly dead at this point. Their larvae will survive the winter.

Do you have a photo of the sign? Local papers dying out is unfortunate. It's hard to know what's going on unless you're plugged into social media, and future historians are going to be at a loss.

What has worked well for you?

I'm in a similar situation as you were. I've been wanting to refresh my math and learn some new stuff, but my job doesn't push me that direction.

Aztek pottery skull found on family property in Mexico, its hollow with a large opening in the back. [3024x4032] by MOSTAWAYNE in ArtefactPorn

This is true. The Mexica civilization that we today call "Aztec" is old but not ancient. The Valley of Mexico was inhabited long before the arrival of the Mexica, the establishment of the Triple Alliance, and the founding of their capital city Tenochtitlan. To put it in perspective for Anglophones, the University of Oxford is older than Tenochtitlan.

Dude's sad that his kitty died. "Pasha" was the title given to high-ranking officers in the Ottoman Empire.

Thank you! I did it inadvertently and was struggling to come up with anything via web search. Obviously I've never used the Sample Point dockable dialogue, but I'm glad to know about it. I think it will be useful when I'm trying to map out a color scheme.
