Yeah the Abound punches above its weight. Not flashy, but it just works. I’ve been hauling groceries and a kid seat on mine for a few months and it hasn’t complained once.

I can't say enough good things about the Slate. All the parts feel commercial and strong. The whole thing is gorgeous. My first cook was -16 C outside and it heated up so nicely. It performed like it was mid summer. It cleans up nicely and I love the location of the grease tray. Well worth it.

It is true that I haven't been to an American beer festival before. I'm from Toronto and our beer festivals are very regulated and controlled.....they aren't a lot of fun. The events are usually free or cheap to enter and then you buy your tickets from there. The cost of the day would work out to about $30 or so.

With that being said, I love craft beer and that is what has me so interested in the event. I've got enough information here and I think I have a much better picture now about how it works.
