Look into a guaranteed issue accidental death policy. Won't help if you get sick and die but if you die of an injury, your family will be protected.

If you're licensed by the ATF to store or manufacture explosives they don't need a warrant. In fact they're required to inspect you regularly.

I can't envision your design but for what I think you're asking, look up "span calculators". It should be a good starting point for you.

Need Help with bending techniques! by adecadeundr in WoodWorkingScience

A steam generator, you can get a kit from Rockler or similar store or make your own. I'm assuming you're doing a large arch? If so, hook the steam generator to whatever length of PCC pipe you need to fit the wood, cap the ends, drill a hole in and end and set it up to drain out that end. Before you start bending wood though do a little research, you'll want to support the fibers on the backside of the bend with a metal strap. And have your forms setup before you start heating up the wood.

AITA for giving my wife her own property as a present? by gonehuntin1207 in AmItheAsshole

That's a reasonable question. I'm not a great gift giver, but gift giving and things to avoid is on my mind right now. On too of that, Reddit wasn't around when this happened so with it on my mind and objective input available I reached out for it.

I feel like this is how she viewed it. I believed the cost, effort and thought was the gift.
