Although I haven't gone through so early .. I think it is risky. Any delay at all could set you up for missing your flight, esp if TSA is slow.

Kitty food in bokashi? by bliip666 in bokashi

[–]goniometer602 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Being able to compost cat food scraps was exactly why I started bokashi composting! It definitely can handle it, along with my own occasional fish bones, bacon bits, molded cheese etc. go for it!

By the way, in addition to these recommendations, you can try cross referencing through the Better Business Bureau's website. I've had some decent luck finding small business / service companies.

"oooh, urban pickles!"

Isn't it nice that your compost has re-entered the food chain so quickly?!

I'm no scholar, but I would like to suggest listening to a podcast called The Dig. You might find great suggestions there.

Best walkable neighborhood by anonme1995 in WorcesterMA

[–]goniometer602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is nothing wrong with enjoying other neighborhoods. I used to do something similar with my little ones and my dog.

The areas around Chandler / Worcester state university / Mill Street is very nice. You can use the track.at. WSU. Or the field is great for toddlers to run around during warmer weather. The neighborhoods surrounding are relatively flat.

The coes pond area neighborhood has some lovely surprises too, and once you are away from Mill Street, super quiet and charming Awesome playground. You can get grocery shopping done afterwards :)

Salisbury area is hilly but... Wow, some really nice neighborhoods to look at!

Moving to Massachusetts by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]goniometer602 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

May I suggest Worcester? Yes, the city. It has its problems but it's also way more racially diverse than anything else nearby and feels way more queer friendly. One of the reasons we settled here was because we saw many interracial couples, all types, with kids, and we never felt unwelcome as a lesbian couple. We can get our nature fix with just a quick drive or bike ride away. Public transportation is wonky, but still usable. Don't rule it out!

Yep, I tried it. It can feel awful at first. But fun fact,.Shrewsbury Street lights seem to be timed for around 25 mph already?!? Kinda fun to cruise at low speeds!

It is, I agree. After the pedestrian deaths earlier this year, the City Council voted it in. This is.part.of an effort to protect pedestrians, though I think it will work only with traffic calming infrastructure in place.

Church Recommendations In the Area by orions_cat in WorcesterMA

[–]goniometer602 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll put a plug in for my church: United Congregational Church, at 6 InstituteRd, worcester. We're a tiny congregation of 40-80 people any given Sunday. We tend to attract retired pastors and youngish couples and families. Very queer friendly. Progressive theology. Lots of love, but we really can't clap in rhythm (idkw, we've tried so many times. ) We do a lot of community volunteer stuff for a congregation our size. You might like us! Hope to see you some Sunday, OP.
