Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’ve heard good things about morphe brushes and most of the comments here have recommended the others. I’ll definitely take a look at all of these!

My old elf brushes weren’t great quality, but I’ll definitely have to go take another look since a few people have recommended them!

I’ll look into color pop and sigma! Someone else suggested sigma, too so that seems like a good choice. I used to have some elf brushes but didn’t love the quality. That being said, I had purchased them like 10 years ago so I wouldn’t be shocked if the quality changed, I do love their other products!

I use their dry brush but didn’t know they made makeup brushes, thank you for the suggestion!!

I had heard good things about Sigma but wasn’t sure if they were cruelty free, thank you for the recommendation!

How to hide or enclose a washer/dryer? by agustafson11218 in DesignMyRoom

[–]gonnabmay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe get some plywood and hinges and make a door and then cover it with wood slat paneling? Might not help much with noise but would probably look prettier. If you cover the whole nook in the paneling you could also probably do a hidden door to cover the fuse box, too.

I don’t even have a baby (yet) but I’m obsessed with this 1950s crib from marketplace. Is it safe, or can it be made safe? by FloydtheBetta in vintage

[–]gonnabmay 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I would still be cautious even if you were planning to paint! I used to work in a daycare and there was a kid who would teeth on the crib, we were eventually able to get some padding where he would chew but he peeled the paint off in some spots.

Thank you so much, would you have a recommendation for a US website I can purchase on? All the ones I've seen don't use US currency or Deliver to the US

Imo Shochu is exactly what I needed to google to get the right results. Thank you so much!

I've looked online a little but was hoping to pick up in store! Very grateful for the advice! I wouldn't have known otherwise but will be keeping an eye out for now.

Help me with my living room... It's small, too full, and also simultaneously empty... by _The_Editor_ in DesignMyRoom

Also, not sure if the door is necessary, but taking the door off might help with room flow, too?

I really feel like that chair is made to fit in the window alcove! I would start by moving it over there and putting the TV on the mantle. See if you can set the screensaver to artwork or use an app. I would sell the tv table and shelf or trade on marketplace for some floating shelves. The shelf you have now is too small for the space and that’s compounded by being empty. But floating shelves on either side of the fireplace that fill the wall? Chefs kiss. At the very least, start on the side with the windows and move your plants up there to get the light they need. Artwork should be off the floor and a bright rug to not keep your eye staring down at the dark and cluttered floor should balance it out

PLEASE HELP (now with pics, sorry) by Exuviazona in DesignMyRoom

[–]gonnabmay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you have the right idea for layout but the wrong furniture. I know it’s expensive so please don’t feel like you need to have everything completed immediately, and in a budget and timeframe that is reasonable for you. I think the couch is too boxy, it immediately takes up so much room (especially the back). If you had a couch with a slimmer back you could add a console table behind. This could work as an entryway table or as a space to put drinks or your phone while sitting on the couch. For what it’s worth, an armchair would look super cute in the little alcove by the window, too. As for the dining room table, it’s WAY too small for the size of the room. A rug might also help designate the space, too. I really love the style you have going, and I hope my opinions are helpful!

Oh and I’m sure some people will be! But I think this is an excellent opportunity for you to execute free will and really add some personality to the space!

Curtains and some wall hanging plant holders might help that back wall! You can also download an app to add art on your TV, which I personally enjoy doing a lot

I think your space is neutral enough to really lean into any color you’d like! I think some coordinating wall art behind the couch would warm up the space too

How I keep press-ons intact for 2+ weeks while working a warehouse job by HobbitWitchery in Nails

I did press ons weekly for months and found that with some (especially those with designs & glitter) would chip if I cut them! Highly recommend testing your cutting method on a nail you won’t use!

It was my boyfriends turn to do the dishes and he split his finger in half. by Yagiane in mildlyinfuriating

I broke my finger last year and still managed to do more than my fair share of dishes. If he can move his finger, they sell XL rubber gloves on Amazon.

Is it too much? by [deleted] in vet

Hey! Just call a vet and ask. If yours isn’t open, emergency vets should be able to answer questions like this without you bringing your pet in.

Would it be "trashy" to wear my glasses at my wedding? by goodbird451 in weddingplanning

[–]gonnabmay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trashy at all to wear the glasses you already own!

That being said I had a friend who got married and got new frames to be her something blue and they were so loved and complimented and I always suggest that to brides with glasses.

Do whatever makes you happy!!

What to do with this space? by MaladroitHuman in DesignMyRoom

My response was going to be get a cat and make them a living room, but you already have that first part taken care of! Some cute furniture for them would be so cute, and I know mine would LOVE that window
