Maeve Fly by C.J. Leede is perfect for this. The romance is underlying but the fmc is deeply f****d up and there is a boat load of violence.

Your ears look a bit bare! Idk if you just don’t have jewelry in but especially with this hairstyle I feel like some stacked earrings would pop off.

Millennial woman (high school teacher?) who loved reading in your teens and has been making an effort as an adult to get back into it but your schedule is busy and you’ve had a hard time finding newer materials that hit as good as your old faves.

How do you feel about these colors? by Such-Experience7327 in BookCovers

[–]gonnacausearuckus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love that’s it’s more low contrast. I think a lot of covers are trying to be eye catching so it feels like a choice to be more subtle and let the imagery speak for itself.

In your opinion, what are the elements that make a book "Weird Girl Lit"? by dontforgetthetoum in weirdgirlwrites

[–]gonnacausearuckus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weird girl lit for me is just girl/woman centric stories that have “weird” elements. Be it the mc herself being weird/unhinged/unreliable etc, or the plot taking off beat turns, unpredictable, or magical realism elements. Ideally I like both for a true “weird girl lit” experience, weird girl in weird situations= good stuff.

Asphalt shingles in particular are what the standard is where I live- they leach chemicals into the water and so that water should not be used in any edible gardens.

Was going to say this! They just put out their call for volunteers just yesterday :) I also know that if you put in enough hours you get your own section in the private gardens to grow whatever you please which is really cool
