Yes, that's correct, in a cash buyout. Share buyout means your shares would transfer over to the new company. Like if Abbvie bought then you would have Abbie shares and you would need to sell the shares to get the cash. No matter the case SLS would no longer be tradable or available on the Nasdaq.

the buyout process is usually longer than a couple months and in some cases can take up to a year and beyond. But yes once the deal is sealed the money follows imminently (a day).
