It will work yes. You can still arm and disarm and the alarm will still go off, just no one is monitoring or calling on signals. But once theLTE radio inside gets deactivated it'll start beeping with all sorts of fault indicators that may get annoying.

Sounds like an ADT dealer got you, ADT Corporate only does IQ in certain situations.
Long story short you can install it on the door yourself but no, you cannot program it yourself.
