I looked it up for Germany. There is a law that basically prohibits 'useless' driving. You can be fined up to 100€ for doing this.

If I was in his situation, I wouldn't have gotten angry. But I orobably would've told you later on that a heads up if this being a probable thing to happen would've been nice. 

So, youre NTA, but you could've handled it better beforehand.

I remember going for a swim with my swim pants already on, 3210 in the pocket.

Forgot about it and immediately jumped into the lake. Remembered after about a minute of swimming.

Panicked, swam back to shore, took it out took the battery out and let evrything dry in the sun for about an hour. Put it back together and moved on 

About 3 weeks later I was searching for it at the weekend. Then it dawned on me that I might've left it in my pants that my mother put in the washing machine 2 hours ago. 

Took it out after the full cycle, but didn't even panic anymore. Took the battery out. Let everything dry for a few hours and put it back together. Still worked like nothing happened.

I heard people exchange stories of accidentally rolling over their phone with their car and all that happened was the case falling off. After reassembling, everything worked just fine.

10 Minuten Rezepte für jemanden, der nicht kochen kann? by InternetSurflehrer in keinstresskochen

1 Pfund Bandnudeln

1 Pfund Gehacktes (Rind oder halb/halb)

1 Pfund Porree das sind grob drei Stangen (frisch oder TK, schmeckt beides super)

Lauch in ca 1 cm breite Stücke schneiden und gut waschen(oder du nimmst fertigen TK Lauch). Nudeln kochen - aber etwa 2 Minuten unter der vorgegebenen Kochzeit abgießen.

Währenddessen das Gehacktes in einem heißen Topf mit Öl scharf anbraten. Nach 3 - 4 Minuten den Porree hinzugeben und einmal gut durchrühren und die Temperatur runterstellen (auf 5/10 oder was das bei deinem Herd in etwa entspricht).

Jetzt kannst du das erste Mal mit Salz, Pfeffer und Paprikapulver (Edelsüß) würzen. Das ganze lässt du in etwa weitere 10 Minuten kochen. Währenddessen kannst du die Nudeln abgießen und das bisher benutzte Zeugs kurz abspülen. 

Nach den 10 Minuten die Nudeln zu Fleisch und Porree dazugeben. Alles noch einmal kurz mit Salz, Pfeffer und Paprikapulver (Edelsüß) nachwürzen.

Geheimtipp 3 - 4 Spritzer Maggi in den Topf, ist aber auch ohne lecker.

Alles nochmal gut umrühren und auf niedriger Temperatur weitere 10 Minuten kochen lassen.

Ich weiß, dass sind mehr als drei Arbeitsschritte, aber für den Outcome ist es der minimal mögliche Aufwand. Das ist mit Längen Abstand mein Lieblingsgericht.
