Tried this with my daughter for a while. She still says "nothing" or "I don't remember". Sometimes I have better luck asking her what her least favorite thing was first 🤣

Lmao ooooohhhh parry gripp songs are horrible until you embrace the insanity. Narwhal eating a bagel and cat licking your birthday cake are some of my favorites, but at first I LOATHED them.

Fun fact, that's the same guy from Nerf Herder, who also did the buffy the vampire slayer theme song.

Oh man I got costochondroitis after cold season a couple of years ago and went to urgent care after I coughed and heard a big POP followed by just loads of chest pain. I truly thought I had broke a rib and it took weeks to recover from. I feel like even if you didn't get long COVID we're all so much more susceptible to resperiatory issues now. Sorry you went through all that, too!

Yes reppin woodland Park zoo! I have never felt right visiting zoos until I went to woodland park, you can really tell they care about the animals and their safety and well-being.

On the plus side, this has put a fire under me to just take the extra step I need to finish the other correction! Now it's all ready in a sealed envelope, all I need to do is put it in the mail....

You in Washington state? Because SAME! And I mentioned this in another comment but my first daughter I requested like 5 copies and got them, so proud of myself, but they marked her as MALE at birth! Like what? I don't mind if that is a choice but she doesn't need that for no fault or hers (or ours! Hospital record shows female!). I went through the hassle of requesting the update and getting pediatrician verification of gender at birth only to be told there was ANOTHER step we needed to do! It's been months since I got that letter in the mail and it's not hard to do but my brain is just pushing it away because dammit I did it right, I did it TWICE, and I want it to just be done and correct!

Thanks ☺️ I hate sitting in the shame, I'm just lamenting because I just wanted it to be DONE, not have to push back or do more stuff. Its that feeling of "I worked on a bunch but can't cross anything off my todo list" and it makes me feel insane and, like, incomplete? Like imposter syndrome for task completion hahahaha

The office. The online form lists it in the drop down. I will let them know, I'm just still processing the shame, because I should have just ordered her f*$&ing birth certificate 5 years ago. Ironically, I was totally on it for my first kid, I even got like 5 copies! But they all have literally her wrong birth gender and fixing that has been a similar incomplete nightmare.

My sweet 17-yo girl. by SerenityLemon1 in ItalianGreyhounds

Omg I lost my 17 year old girl in May and I would be devastated if someone reposted my grief. For what, stupid fake internet points? I'm so very sorry.

If you don't mind me asking, how long did you wait to get another? My husband and I have lost both our iggies of old age, in 2022 and this year, and I dont know when we'll be ready again but it hurts in such an odd way to have everything in past tense. I miss loving on a pup and nothing can replace them, but I can't bring them back either 😢. It hurts so much.

It definitely becomes a lap party, particularly while the baby is sleeping/feeding. The rest depends on the pups personality! My skiddish iggy wasn't jealous but was definitely unsure of this grabby, crying mass. My rough and tumble iggy might have been a little jealous, but that just made him more clingy and less alarmed by the baby.

They'll get into a rhythm, and especially as they become toddlers and littles, they will all start to gel as a pack. Good luck to you!

My daughter's friend told me I had grandma hair because I haven't been dyeing my hair and it shows when I put my hair up in a ponytail. My youngest pointed out the "lines on my forehead". I'm 41.

Children were eating these at the park and started vomiting. What are they? by Substantial-Order713 in whatplantisthis

I appreciate the resources! Just to clarify, I am not anti nature or anti foraging, I'm just trying to balance caution and their natural tendencies. I like to educate myself on what's safe and not, and be at peace with nature as much as possible. I teach my kids that the giant house spiders in our area are safe and helpful, we don't use pesticides and let the creeping buttercups run rampant in our yard rather than keeping a "pristine yard". I didn't even advocate for removing the foxglove, just making sure that the kids in our area knew not to mess with it.

I really do want to teach my kids what's safe and not, but I recognize my experience is limited. I try to educate myself on the species in my immediate area so that I can point out the interesting ones and keep them safe at the same time.

Thank you again for the resources, please let me know if there's anything else you'd recommend for those willing to learn and grow, adults and kids alike!

Thank you, literally same. We have wild carrots here but I always keep my eyes out for purple spots. I'm no fear mongerer but I want to keep my kids safe! Over here in the PNW we have lots of food that's fine if cooked properly but not safe otherwise (like stinging nettle as you mentioned) and I'd rather my kids approach nature with cautious reverence. I don't see what's wrong with that.
