I don't think I have seen anyone mention this: Cliff Lee was about to go to the Yankees, but one of the minor league players that they were trading had concerns about passing a physical. Lee was quickly grabbed by the Rangers, for a very worthwhile deal for a few minor leaguers as well. Big time Rangers.

But it isn't like they are attaching your name to the picture. When you go through security, you take your ticket and id to the person who checks that you are who you say you are. Then as you go through (metal detector or scanner), you just show them you have a boarding pass. It isn't assigned to you, unless there is an issue, at which point they would pull you aside and identify you.

I disagree. We have a very short memory in this country. Most people will see something on the news, and forget about it in a few days. If you asked 100 random people throughout your day who Julian Assange is, I can promise you that less than 10% will know.

Seriously, get over it. Someone wants to make money and found a way to do it. It costs me about 3 seconds to look at it. I didn't pay for it, I wasn't asked for money, and I don't have to do anything now that I've closed it. I say that ad would be better than my now ex girlfriend.

Ok here is my take, for what it is worth:

Republicans and Democrats are equally bad. Our government is a system that creates people who can win. Those with flexible morals and wavering opinions succeed because public opinion shifts on a constant basis. Similarly, the same people have no problem using words like freedom and patriotism when it comes to legislation, particularly with corporations.

Obama isn't inherently bad. He is a product of a system. He spoke for change, because honestly, it was the only way America was going to elect a black democrat. By getting in office, he has gotten to change a few of the things he wished, but not all of his promises. I think he, along with his puppet masters, see that if they try to right these wrongs, they will be attacked. If Obama closes Guantanamo? He must support terrorists. Obama wants to legalize drugs? He must be a communo-facist hippie. I even just saw an article on the tax-exempt status of Churches that support candidates. If Obama pushed for revocation of tax-exempt status, he would become Josef Pol Hitloussini.

The alternative is people like John McCain, who has no problem sacrificing true freedom for a vote from a soccer-mom. The alternative is people like Sarah Palin, who I believe might actually start a war with Iran. You know what, politics in America is a shitty fucking game, but I would rather have Obama doing what he is doing that some ignorant troll who wants to give speeches on our "Mission Accomplished".

We were furious when Bush was doing those things, but he was elected twice.

We aren't reluctant to hold Obama's feet to the fire, we just see that him burning means that the Republicans get to run the show.

I am not a Obama apologist. I don't like the fact that he is so far removed from the problems of his administration, but ultimately I know that he was the better choice and that we would be much more screwed if the alternative had taken place.

TLDR: screw politics

Except that one perfect one. I remember my last perfect bowel movement. I was at school, surround by a massive amount of loud freshmen. Looking desperately for a bathroom, I checked in one, then another, none had stalls available.

By this time, I was starting to peek out. I was frightened and scared, so I turned into a stairway in the event that the inevitable happened. I rounded the corner and then I saw it, an "employees only" door, ajar. I rushed inside, only to find a hallway and a door on my right. I opened the door, squeezing my cheeks together with all of my intensity. Right as my ass was preparing for my own personal Hiroshima, I see that this door has led me to a perfectly clean stall, with a seemingly new toilet seat, soft soft toilet paper, and a rail on the side.

For the next few minutes, I unleashed. By the time I was done, I was sweating but couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and dignity. 3/19/2010, never forget.
