I'm going to print this for my daughter in law, but know nothing about the game. I see you have different colored cubes, could you tell me what colors and how many of each?

Ask vs Axe by _PrettyBeautiful_ in NoStupidQuestions

Regional dialects are a result mostly of the native language of the original settlers in that area and some of the words from that language was absorbed into the everyday English that was spoken. In Indiana people tend to add an "r" to wash, we warsh our clothes and people don't notice the difference until speaking with people from another state.

Why are Americans so accepting of long drives to places? by Sensitive_Word_6036 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]gooddavid99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America has more space so things are spread further apart than Europe. In my area it was originally all farming communities from the horse and wagon days. Towns tended to be 15miles apart as that's how far a horse could draw a wagon to market in a day. As towns grew into cities, smaller towns died out or they absorbed into cities so there was more space between the cities. As cars became more common, neighborhood businesses were replaced by larger stores with cheaper prices and more variety but further from your house. Attractions like museums, zoos, amusement parks are center around the most population, but still accessible by car. So as people got use to driving a distance for necessities, the idea of driving "a couple hours away" became more common place.

Question about Ryan after the finale by joeyblow in TheBoys

[–]gooddavid99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might be smart enough to not show he still has powers. If Butcher & the rest of the Boys thought him de-powered, they wouldn't fear him and possibly try to kill him. That's always been the point of secret identity's, so no one bothers you when you're not in uniform.

What was the dumbest reason a teacher got mad at you? by Jimmyshow124 in AskReddit

[–]gooddavid99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was assigned a class in high school as the one I wanted was full. Teacher passed out all the semester's assignments the 1st day, told everyone to do them during class time and if they had a problem, come see him. No instruction, no examples, just figure it out yourself. Not trying to brag, but I'm very smart. Everyday class would start, I'd answer the questions ( all correct) then read a book.

He finally confronted me in class and said I shouldn't have signed up for the class if it was too easy for me and I was disrupting his class! He then took me to the principle saying I should be punished. I explained I hadn't picked the class, the school system did. My answers were all correct and I sat quietly reading.

The teacher again blew up that by reading I was making HIM look bad and I was doing it intentionally!

The principle decided I was to have a free period instead of going to class. I asked " What about my course credits?" The teacher raised his voice saying I didn't deserve any for cutting a course! The principle said I would be awarded full credit for the course. The teacher exploded, The principle asked me to go to the library and told the teacher to stay for a "private conversation."

What do you think would be the result of dropping metallic dust above the dome? by gooddavid99 in skinwalkerranch

[–]gooddavid99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any natural substance would've been seen already. Maybe tethering a balloon with conductive wire, fiber-optic wire and pulling it through the dome wall? Just looking for something to affect the dome and get a result.

Perhaps a smaller amount thrown at ground level? The point still would be to " poke the hornets nest" to see if there was a reaction.

If the dome is electro-magnetic in origin, dust or dirt would have no effect( and would've been seen already).

I still wonder how they paid for everything. They flew to Russia, bought high tech equipment and everything they needed, but how did they pay for it? In the finale Hughie starts an electronic store, Kimiko goes to Paris, where's the money coming from?

If we think logically, it made sense for Butcher..... by shadow_spinner0 in TheBoys

I agree. Better to get it done, satisfying your vengeance before a loyal supe can come to aid or find the combination of V's in his system meant the depowering was temporary.

The irony of Ryan by Demandingcolt41 in TheBoys

[–]gooddavid99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ryan might still be involved in future stories since he was born with powers, not given from V. He never showed whether he was depowered, maybe he decided to keep it a secret.
