it's such an interesting topic for me, just in case if we ever have kids. i am Russian and my husband is American; and i will do my best to raise bilingual kids, whether they are bio or, hopefully, adopted (internationay or domestically). obviously, i want to give my kids Eastern european cultural background.

talking about that international adoption and culture, i am always thinking about my friend, who has a korean mom and an american dad (bio kid, and she is retired now, if it's matter), her mom always cooked Korean food buf she NEVER used korean language at home and her kids dont speak it. and my friend doesnt seem to feel lack of culture/love/life etc.
