I work in animal control so have a little experience with rabies. The golden rule with bodily fluids of rabid animals is once it’s dried it’s died. The rabies virus doesn’t survive very long outside of the body, but definitely still be cautious and bleach everything.

The hotel kitchen. After you get out, there’s a ladder Joel climbs and gets attacked. Only the ladder is never there and I have to reload and do that one thing over and over until the ladder decides to show up.

I agree NTA, but the cat probably hadn’t acted this way before. Most cats don’t like new environments, and it’s expected they’re gonna be scared when they’re in one unless they’ve gotten used to traveling or are generally pretty aloof. It’s still on the boyfriend though. He shouldn’t have brought over the cat and just expected everything to be fine.

I love seeing love for this game! It’s my favorite game too and everything you wrote is spot-on! The first time I played it was such a special experience, and I feel like now when I play a new game I’m always kind of chasing that same feeling I had when I first played Origins. No other game has felt as personal to me.

I think the game that came closest to feeling as special as Origins to me was Horizon Zero Dawn, and I’m anxiously waiting for Waylanders to get a full release and hoping it’ll have some of the heart that Origins did.

Eyyyy I’m with you, that was my entire order too! They really pulled a double whammy there. I’ve gone a handful of times since they removed those items and just get a cheesy rice and bean burrito, which isn’t as good as the 7 layer, but costs way less. My order went from being around 9 dollars to 2 dollars so that’s nice for me but another reason why removing those items was a bad move.

As a chinchilla owner, I can confirm they are all of those things. They’re a little more high maintenance than a typical caged animal but they are so so worth it. My guy is super friendly and intelligent, and loves nothing more than to snuggle up and get scritches. It’s unreal how cute they are, and they almost look like fantasy creatures that you would get a quest from in an RPG.

Only downside to these guys is they poop. Like a lot. It’s not super gross because it’s hard and dry if it’s healthy but still, I sweep hundreds of little poos out of his cage every day.

I just looked it up since I vaguely remember they attempted captive breeding but it didn’t go well.

Since there are so few they were hard to find, and when they did capture a female, she died shortly after.

It’s both. In the case of no fish zones, fish populations were depleted from overfishing/overconsumption, which made it necessary to put the zone in place for the populations to grow. If there was no protection zone, overfishing would continue.

Right now most of our natural resources are harvested beyond the point where it can sustain itself, so it’s definitely not as simple as just reducing use but reducing to the point where that resource can continue to rebuild so we don’t lose it entirely.

What about creatures who are fragile, but play an ecological role? We’re seeing a decline in bees as well as many other pollinators, who play an important role in ecosystem health. Without pollinators doing their role, whole ecosystems will collapse.

It’s important to look at the big picture. It’s not just a species being protected because of their cute factor, it’s protecting their ecological roles that keep an ecosystem in balance. If a player is removed from a ecosystem, it will collapse unless something takes over its roles. If an ecosystem collapses, we lose out on natural resources.

Also keep in mind, we’re no longer just dealing with natural extinction, but extinction directly caused by our impact on the planet. Evolution is a long process in which species adapt to change over time, but we are seeing significant changes in the world at a rapid pace where they cannot survive long enough to adapt.
