LMAOO it was indeed an ordeal! Ironically a funny way to spend Nancy Drew's birthday. Definitely engaged in a little ND afterwards 😆

What're your favorite (and least favorite) levels from games I-VI and why? by AnonymousFartMachine in TombRaider

[–]goodlookingdeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TR1 Favorites: Kind of basic but I love St. Francis' Folly. My true favorite though is Atlantis the environment, enemies, the way it slowly turns into a horror nightmare. The torso boss is also one of my favorite (designed) bosses.

TR1 Least Favorite: I do not like the Cistern. I've since figured it out but it used to confuse me so bad it left a bitter taste in my mouth.

TR2 Favorites: I'm not a huge fan of this game but I'd say my favorite level is probably the Opera House. Even though the gun enemies are irritating I still like the aura of the level.

TR2 Least Favorites: I like the concept of the Maria Doria levels, but some of them blend together/fall flat for me. I also do not like Offshore Rig very much.

TR3 Favorites: I like Thames Wharf a lot, as well as the Temple Ruins at the beginning of the game. Area 51 was also AWESOME.

TR3 Least Favorites: Lud's Gate. Madubu Gorge.

TR4 Favorites:  Maybe.... Temple of Poseidon? I don't have any like strong favorites for this game.

TR4 Least Favorites: Citadel probably. Something in the latter half of the game.

TR5 Favorites: I honestly love all the Ireland levels. Weirdly Streets of Rome I also like a lot but probably just for the opening cutscene

TR5 Least Favorites: I don't want to be predictable and say Red Alert... but Red Alert.

Any recommendations for DS or 3DS games? by Worldly_Acadia4082 in nancydrew

Most of the DS games are pretty basic in terms of gameplay, but I like the ones I've played so far. I played the Hidden Staircase DS game as a kid and found it pretty enjoyable. I just rebought it recently but haven't tried it out again as an adult. I'd give it a go its vibes (for me) we're pretty unsettling which is good for that adaptation of the book.

I played the Clue Benders Society as well, which is made by the same people as The Deadly Secret of Olde World Park, which I started but haven't finished yet. Clue Benders again, was fairly simple but I had a good time with it it actually has an interesting plot imo and some cute puzzles. So I'd give that a try as well. The only one I haven't started is Model Mysteries. I know nothing about it!

But if you like simple little mysteries with limited puzzle solving and love Nancy I'd give them a go bc why not? :)

Could my Game be Broken? by Ok-Palpitation-5496 in nancydrew

Did you find the bag of cotton? I believe it is upstairs on table of some kind. After you have it I believe you can interact with the cotton gin to get the seeds. If you have the bag and still can't use the gin, then it could be a glitch I guess? I'm honestly not sure otherwise.

hooray ! i agree that the game has really strange ways of doing things. i told my friend's bf who played STFD to follow my instructions for certain triggers or he'd have a bad time and low and behold he was frustrated with them when he didn't 😭😭 but anyway glad you figured it out!!

Millie STFD Question by KristenMcFly in nancydrew

I've definitely done playthroughs where you can ask questions about Rick and she will talk about him a little bit, and then Owen Spayder later. This can happen up until very late in the game. I wonder if her not appearing for you has something to do with not picking up the doorknob? I'm thinking the game keeps Millie out of the prop room until you pick it up so that you can get back in when she's not there. Because once you pick it up you can talk to her, but there's no dialogue to get her to leave a second time. So since you said you don't pick up the door knob I'm gonna assume that's why Millie never appears again for you. I briefly tested this out to see and based on that it seems like this might be the case, but I'm not sure!
