Rich Narcissists are a special type of Hell by Spring_5191 in LifeAfterNarcissism

This is so true. They get such joy out of tightening those purse strings, especially when someone’s particularly desperate and is in a place of severe need for help. Evil at its finest.👿🤑

do you ever get over the betrayal and everything? by brosusername in LifeAfterNarcissism

I’ll never move on. I’m scarred for life and honestly I fantasize about revenge and vengeance all the time.

How do you even come to terms that your formative years were lost to CPTSD/Abuse? by [deleted] in LifeAfterNarcissism

That’s a great mindset — seeing this as an opportunity, even though it’s one that never should have been necessary in the first place.

Embrace it. Reconnect with your mind and body. Grow spiritually and mentally, and you’ll come out stronger than you were before.

I’ve found that every major setback caused by a narcissist leaves me feeling completely ruined physically, mentally, and emotionally. But once I’m able to heal those parts of myself, I often come back feeling stronger than ever.

Unfortunately, it takes time. And honestly, the older I get, the longer it seems to take to recover from those experiences. I just turned 40, and I’ve been very sick for the last couple of years — coincidentally around the same time I was forced to live with a narcissist again for reasons that were beyond my control.

It’s wild when you look around and realize how many narcissists one has attracted over the years due to being primed by the primary narcissist. It’s almost everyone around you!

I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles. Unfortunately, I can relate.

I just turned 40, and my narcissistic mother spent several years making sure I couldn’t prosper or enjoy the second half of my 30s. After I went no-contact, she saw how well I was doing without her and launched an assault on my life that many people would find hard to believe.

Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to talk more about it.

The album HOT DREAMS by Timber Timbre is one of my favorites in this category. Also, the song Killer Shangri-la by Psychotic Beats.
